This we all understand and appreciate the clarity about this.  My thoughts were to do some sort of segment challenge using the TT routes, which would easily fall within guidelines.  My suspicion is that any subsequent posting/boasting/moaning about times on the club forum would divide opinion about club endorsement and to ensure club compliance with current guidelines it would be simpler to not have us posting.  It would appear, for the sake of a couple more weeks, that waiting for day we resume some sort of club activity is the sensible way forward.
May I propose that we should consider reversing the hill climb route if we get to use it this year, hillclimbing just takes much more effort these days for some reason...

Aaaaand the good news is that the committee is considering a reduced programme of confined events starting from mid July, subject to guidance from SC/BC. The current view from that level is that club events won't be sanctioned until August. So, we can't say for certain right now when, or even if, a programme will take place, but the general principle will be that we will attempt to run the league of 10, the chocolate series, and the hilly TT series in a reduced format. Turn up, race go home. No holders. Results will be published when the timekeeper uploads them. Further updates to follow when more info becomes available.

Agreed G IRL nobody does get left behind and as you said we all got a ride.
I don’t think there was anything wrong about having the sprints, I enjoyed it and it served to show where I’m at in comparison to some bunch regulars given my extended time away from the road. so from a personal point of view - all good - I’m still pants 😕
Fi, I wouldn’t worry about the guys who may have dropped off to offer a tow back. In my experience we’ve all been there, both offering and getting that tow. 🥵 All part and parcel.
    Viva la sticky, non?

Yeah it was hard to keep together. My idea for the sprints was so everyone was getting something out of the ride but that probably just exacerbated the problem as it was creating a gap each lap.
The good news is there is a message on the support forum saying the bug has been found and the update will come in the next few days.

Comment on this evenings session. Having no sticky does make it difficult to balance the variances in power across the group. Usual bunch issues of too fast vs just right vs not fast enough were  evident enough. It happens. If no sticky I’d suggest Iain makes the rule for the session and every one looks(as best they can) to the -/+ times between riders to keep the group together. If more than -0.10 off the front then ease up, if Rider more than +0.20 off the back then group ease up with provisio dropped rider put in an effort to catch on or drop out a lap if possible on lap route. If you want to do your own thing text and do it
Fi, I don’t believe anyone was intentionally being horrible. It’s pants getting shelled. The stronger guys dumped me on the last lap. I couldn’t  get on and watched the gap grow til I burst. That’s bike riding. Just my view and shouldn’t be seen as anything else.

Just a heads up there was a zwift meetup scheduled for tonight, i can no longer make it so have cancelled.
I dont think a meetup can start if the leader isn't there so thought it better to cancel and you can arrange another ride instead should you want to.

I am going to fess up. I rode by this spot last night with the intention of taking a photo as I had a good idea where it was. However just before I got there I met Jamie Thompson and we were blethering, from different sides of the road of course, and we passed to spot. Long story short, I stuck bike in car last night and took this picture on my way to work this morning. So I would be happy for you to take the glory and post the next picture !
