630 then
I trust we will all be seeing a captain of industry on the front to drive the pace rather that sitting in to save legs for the North Westerly that is forecast for the Clune
Industry, Science and Technology and Public Services are always working for you so trusting you’ll put in a decent effort on the GT for hardworking heroes

Planning to be there though 6pm is a strain especially if you’re trying to get out of Glasgow at that time of day. Traffic onto M8 is really heavy all the way through Hillington. Renfrew Bunch has now moved to 7 so there’s no reason our times are restricted due to failing light.

Saw your crew at Stewarton again. They said that u were needing a lie down and had headed home
Yea definitely needed a lie down. Even a coffee stop would have been good! Had to get back to West Kilbride before 2 though to get into town

Cracking run today and yes we did hunt down McDonald. Got him just before Moscow. One of his bunch punctured. Stopped at Logan’s larder for coffee. Guy was on his own and big bunch freaked him out a bit so Paul Leavy myself and Alan Mclean hadcoffee there and rest went to Buzzworks in Stewarton. We regrouped there and headed back home. Logan’s larder is good just need to give them notice if big bunch descending on them
We also stood about Lugton waiting for Barry C and his pals. Shame we never saw you again after Darvel - we thought you’d hunt us down x

May join you later but not at Bowfield

You and the article missed the whole point which is
There are those who ride with their bits made by a fishing rod manufacturer, then there are those in the know who ride with Campagnolo who are the Royalty of the cycling word and by right can turn their noses up at the rest of you cheapskates .

I don’t know XXX I believe that your public image, profile and likability could be seriously improved by more liberal use of Gifs in your postings xxx

The rain should thin out the chippers. Thinking I might have an attempt at the Heggies KoM. David Griffiths has had it since 2013.
As a chipper can I still join Bunch even if it’s raining?

Garry has damaged shoulder ligaments but nothing broken. Bike ok, more importantly.
Thanks for the update George. Good news!

Brilliant day thanks to gorgeous sunshine, well drilled team effort and lots of communication and encouragement to everyone. Thank you very much to team and to Paul for getting me back on.
lost my KoM anti-clockwise from Brodick to Marc K. Very well deserved as he put in massive and supremely well paced efforts all the way then bought us all cokes for the ferry!

Andy - 8.15 from Millar Street. Track to Glen Garnock; Daley; Fairlie Moor. I would say 9ish at the turn to FM. But if we are not there at 9, you could always ride towards us and turn when we meet.
See you at 9 then Darryl. Cheers

Hi Darryl
what you think your eta is for the turn onto the Fairlie Moor Road. Planning to join you in the morning. Cheers

sounds good....perhaps something that @iain67 (and others) might want to do? Means you can get the later ferry over then join after we've done a lap.
So far it’s a 3 up. Paul, Iain and me. All those calling for a change of date to the 20th have gone quiet - so far!
It may be others from club keen to get over on 0945 to meet up for a social ride afterwards?

Anyone up for a ride over to the velo cafe afterwards?
I was thinking the same. Over the Ross then back on the String?

He’s been taking all my strava KOMs on the island!
you know that non attendance on Saturday is an effective surrender of all your Isle of Arran KoMs?

Due to popular demand this thread has moved from 13th April to 20th April. For those of you unfamiliar with this ancient ritual we board the 0700 hours ferry to Brodick. Get off and ride round the island and get the next ferry back. This is the first 2019 edition with aspirations for the legendary Double Arran attempt later in the summer.
Don't be like me and miss the ferry despite living 4 miles away.
Be like Darryl and pace according to the team on the climbs not according to how Many watts you can meat out on your pals
If the ferry master approves your boarding of the next ferry then you will enter Paul McD’s Hall of Fame! You can tell stories to your children and grandchildren at they sit at your feet in wonder for many years to come!
Who's in?

Great turn out tonight and very enjoyable (came 3rd in sprint after taking the short-cut). Marc Kelly has even less shame, taking the short cut and winning the sprint. Bah!
Anyway seems there are people not happy with who we ride with and what we say in the JWCC, however I'm hoping the Thursday group can stay a broad church and cope with some levity.
Meantime going to ban myself from the Sewing Bee and Sunday groups (before I get banned). Be sad if Thursday nights went the same way as the official club rides.
Excellent night.
Cheers
Agree Ian. It’s a great night and having a broad church improves competitiveness overall and is reputationally good for the club too. Excellent night indeed!
