  1. Don't like riding in anything under 20C so struggling even in warmest ever Tasmanian autumn !
  2. Yeah Fred is 4000m and so was LBL (unless it is 4500 which some recorded) but it's so much easier when the sun is shining !
  3. Fred Whitton route - bit short on overall climb but tougher gradients !
  4. Hey LA - I was there that day too and chased Lance ( and you ? ) down after he and Jim Daly put the pressure on up the Bowfield ( ok , there may have been a slight easing over the top ! ). Yeah , I'm glad to see the peloton is clean now ( Valverde , Contador, high cadence Froome ?). BTW some of these results on the chain gang look suspicious to me - Billy and Charlie have points ?
  5. Crank bros multi tool has 10 mm Allan key. I remember the same thing happened to Chung in Girona a few years ago ( he was on a rented bike obviously as his own is always perfectly maintained !). Must have been the only time I've seen him stumped at a mechanical.
  6. Too many weight sessions Billy ! No 20% on that section Mark , a bit of extra climbing on surfaces Paul L and Davie B might recognise.
  7. Nice little variation - go straight over at the Carron Bridge hotel and then take the left just beyond the Loch Coulter (signed North Third ) then left again after passing North Third reservoir. Goes up past the windmills and then down to rejoin the main Carron valley road. Wee bit extra climbing Billy !
  8. All the best guys. Torque everything.....remember JD lost all his chainring bolts !
  9. Largs , Brisbane, HAYLIE - get some real hills in !
  10. As you know Darryl, a fluid is not compressible ( by hand ) , so either the lever is not activating the piston in the master cylinder ie you need to make a mechanical adjustment , or there is air ( which is compressible (by hand)) in the system. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluid_dynamics Profesor Brainstawm
  11. Darryl, when set up well there should be very little travel in the lever. If the feel is spongy then it is probably air in the hydraulic line. This can be bled out. With my Avids this is easiest using a retail syringe kit. Some levers have an adjustment for reach but don't see how that can be the problem. I didn't know you were a mountain biker ?!
  12. Flights booked. Looks like that hotel is full so can I take extra bed with you guys ?
