There used to be a leaflet about it - it was a pilot project and IIRC  Kilallan, Corsliehill, Warlock and Chapel Road were the ones on it. There were plans for a lot more but that was over 10 years ago and i've not heard anything since.

A quick gooe revealed a few answers.  There were potential sites at back of Langbank and Lochwinnoch, as seen in yellow on the map in this document.  But in terms of actual sites, they're in green and yes I believe its Warlock Road which is the other one.  Only info I could find which was reasonably useful was here:  http://www.wctrs-society.com/wp-content/uploads/abstracts/berkeley/G6/189/Microsoft Word - WTC leisure lanes.pdf

    Jan,
Warlock road and Corsliehill Road are both great wee lanes to ride on..the part of Corsliehill Rd to the east of where you've marked it on the map has all been resurfaced and leads into Houston village missing out the main (sort of) road...

Thought I would share a few pictures of my overnighter on Islay last week with my boys.  Just cycled from Port Ellen to Port Charlotte and camped overnight.  Islay is quite stunning and I have never seen such a huge and clear night sky.  I may have to work out how to carry a telescope by bike too.

Was out for a ride along the Georgetown today & no traffic lights. Road from railway bridge to finish nice & smooth too so race is on for Tuesday.
as usual, ride course anytime on Tuesday and I’ll gather results from Strava.
Could d be some real events on in August so this is ideal practice.

Alarm was set for 7am, set off at 8am. I was booked on the 09:40 ferry. Joined by another 9 or maybe 11 people and bikes.
Didn't have any breakfast, thought I would get a bacon roll and a coffee to take away in the wee cafe just beside the ferry in Brodick, it was shut!
Got off the ferry in Brodick at 10:50 and headed south. Lovely smooth tarmac in Brodick.
Carried on to next place, cafe shut! There was one opened in Whiting Bay but it was busy and couldn't be bothered waiting in the queue.
It was Lochranza? (Wee ferry) before there was anywhere open that sold hot food.
Quite enjoyed the big long climb and then the totally awesome decent after this 😁
Rolled along into Brodick for 4pm in time to catch the 16:45 ferry back

FYI you need to wear face covering in the ticket office and on ferry (in case anyone forgets)
There is quite a lot of very rough tarmac, particularly going through towns/villages.
There are no food or drinks available on ferry.

Unless its a northerly wind (or north westerly or north easterly) then clockwise should be fastest. On a still day i'd prefer to do it clockwise too, south half of the island is harder so better to do that with fresh legs.
