All noted Roberto. We know people have lots of other things going on. Hope to see you out on the road sometime.

Alan McLean got a reaction from Iain67 in JWCC membership review
Hi
I need help cleaning up our membership records. Most of the recent ex-members will receive a group email but I am posting here because I know some contact details are outdated.
1. If you have renewed membership and paid subs, great! Thank you!
2. If you have not renewed but would like to do so (before your forum access is cut off) then go here https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/club/subscriptions?club_id=589. PM me if any problems and we can arrange BACS/cheque/cash etc
3. If you have previously been a member and are still interested in the club and general riding/social but can't rejoin this year due to geography/work/circumstances then please PM/email me and I'll keep you on our books as a possible future member.
4. If you can't see yourself returning at all to the Wheelers then please PM/email me and I'll remove you completely from our records.
Thanks very much
Alan

Alan McLean got a reaction from chung in Whole Club Run Sunday 14th April
I am working and can't attend ride but can you confirm that Amaretto will have PR on telly? just like the euro bars?
If so then I'll be there. May I bagsy a team for £3 if there are any left in the hat.
Anyway I know Kristoff will win cos he is a monster and it's flat.

Thanks. I now see that there is a cryptic clue in the thread title.

Alan McLean got a reaction from George in Chaingang 4th April 6pm
Being dropped on cote de bishy is part of the fun. On the club runs and bogs bunches I have been variously dropped at:
Inchinninan (puncture)
Inchinnan(unfit)
Inchinnan (chain drop/unfit)
Bishy town (unfit/missed a turn/headwind)
Bishy town (lights/unfit)
and that's before I even get to the hill and excluding the times I have arrived late. But I think on club runs it would be nice to get everyone over Bishy hill. Hope to be out on Thursday when I will probably ignore my own suggestion and just smash it like everyone else.

Alan McLean got a reaction from chung in Rannoch gravel bike party Friday 29th March 2019
If riding gravel then ensure your bike is a specialised gravel bike with correct seat angle and chainstay length or you will die (or just bring an mtb)

but I am clearly incapable of putting them on the site. If you send me an SAE I'll post you an 8mm movie roll of this modern magic.
I'm just away to put another record on.

Alan McLean got a reaction from George in Bike auctions in Dalry
No but they have pressure washers and large ornamental garden statues of animals so well on their way to most bizarre cyclocross parcours with cleaning kit.

They also have Hilti nail guns, pallets of oak boards, and 14000 Brazilian slates on online auction. Go see the website but lock your credit card away first.

Alan McLean got a reaction from charlie p in DONE! New Year, New Bike time - keeping it "real" though!
All very well but did you realise that on Sunday your mini pump was slouched diagonally in your jersey pocket and in doing so it utterly ruined the fit of your Rapha rainjacket?
I almost threw up in disgust.

Probable...that I miss out the Loch Katrine loop and replace it with an interesting, long and tasty lunch in Callendar, and pick up the bunch later.

Alan McLean got a reaction from Gerard Deeley in Renfrew-Shieldhall cycle route consultation
Hi Gerard, you can post comments on the consultation by clicking on the link on the PDF. You can also read other people's comments. Take a valium first because the mouth breathers are out in force. But definitely merits a considered polite pro-bike response.
The people in Renfrew are totally stuffed because they have no train and their only access is three horrible main roads so they really have to drive to get anywhere comfortably. Which is a shame for journeys under two miles because it is pan flat and you could get anywhere in ten minutes if the authorities could get some safe bike and walking infrastructure in place.
A 2k strip of segrated main road is a start but pretty hopeless with no feeders to schools or QEUH and it will finish at the horrible start of Govan Road which is really unpleasant and would need fixed by Glasgow to get people to the QEUH and tunnel.

Alan McLean got a reaction from Gerard Deeley in Renfrew-Shieldhall cycle route consultation
The best comments are from people who are worried that it will increase congestion around their school pick up times. You really couldn't make it up but it is a natural reaction when the whole area is car centric.
