Colin McPhee
I'm up for it (Billy your power to weight is still above mine ! )
Richie Cross
Excellent. I'll be lacking in miles so can keep you company Billy.
Mark O
I'll be out for this and will shove a cushion up my jersey to make Billy feel better. Billy, your weight to power is legendary Will be driving and can take one other body, if you don't mind laying your bike on top of mine in the boot (suitably covered/padded of course). Alternatively, I have access to a set of saris bones and if you are happy to have your frame strapped to this carrier system, then I can take 1 further additional bodies. Carbon on plastic fixings which I usually bind with some cloth to avoid scratches. Used at your own discretion/risk and no warranty is offered and no liability accepted.....so there. Seats available on first come first served basis. M
2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted June 30, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 Here is the route http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/458610260 On a par with Dunoon run yesterday. 6 categorised climbs. Parking point is on the B7045 about 3 miles south of Minishant. Take the left just after you exit Minishant signposted Straiton. Drive a couple of miles and there is gravel layby on left at the end of a rising long straight bit of road. Park there. Sorry to steal thread Andy – but I suspect I am the only one that knows the route ! Depart from layby 8.30am. It takes about 45-50 mins from Johnstone to Minishant. 2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted June 30, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 Can't see that on map my ride. Can you make it public?
Richie Cross
Sounds good. Any reason for an 8.30 rather than 9am depart? I could take me plus 2 I think if the bikes are padded out a bit. At the moment, I'll be driving myself from Glengarnock unless I can collect anyone or they can come to me.

Richie Cross
I see that. What with the time it takes to get there, I was wondering why we were starting earlier.

Guest EPCC
Richie I just do as I am told Marshal McDonald will discipline any domestiques who may be late
2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted June 30, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 I think the link to the route should work now. Insubordination about times will not be tolerated and miscreants will be dealt with by a gun toting military chap....so deal with yourself Richie. Should be back at RV point by 1230 hrs. I can offer a lift to those on route from Lochwinnoch to Minishant in return for a can of coke at the sweetie shop. Please note this route is quite rural and does not have a coffee stop. There is a shop in Barr where water, coke etc is available.
Richie Cross
No worries. At least I can tell Mrs C I'm under orders. Can see the route now, thanks. Only a 3km warm up before the first climb!
2023 Subscriptions Gummers Posted June 30, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 See you guys at Minishant. Early bed and alarm set. 9-30 am meet at same layby as last year? Andy

2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted July 2, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 2, 2014 So really, for the overcompensation to work properly, we should be going out on Saturday? Thanks Charlie, I had already spotted that one. Still undecided though. It may well come down to how good a night I have on Saturday.
