2023 Subscriptions martin Posted March 29, 2010 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 29, 2010 The first confined TTT is scheduled for Wednesday, but then again, so is heavy snow and sleet . http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/today.asp?zipcode=pa11 suggests 0C (but feels like -5C) for Wed evening. I know it goes against my belgian tendencies, but anyone [else] in favour of a postponement?
lancelogan
Yep. Dont want to get my noo wheels manky on their first outing after all! In all seriousness tho, if its sleety im guessing it will be quite dangerous.

Paul C
Thanks for the directions. What is the race format? Paul C
2023 Subscriptions ginty001 Posted April 6, 2010 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted April 6, 2010 Hi Paul, It's a 2 up, so turn up and see if anyone is looking for a partner, if not you can ride solo. The timekeeper will say 3,2,1 go, you start pedalling as hard as you can and keep it going for approx 7.3 miles, you then get off your bike and act like you're having a cardiac arrest, although you're not actually acting And then when you finally feel semi normal again you realise that it was actually quite fun Hope to see you along Cheers Ian..... lancelogan
Not 100% sure but think its 2man. Its pretty much a straight road of 7.5miles. Outward leg is to a roundabout, doubling back round it and returning the same way, return leg has a very very short quite steep climb (out the saddle for about 4 secs) then straight back to the finish line with a wee 's' bendthrown into the mix. Ive actually just discovered while ive been writing this that you can view the whole course using street view on google maps!
