  1. Tried a CNP bar at the weekend and felt the benefits. Got it for 99p as a sample from their website. You have to remember as well that as Jann said different bodies deal with energy bars in different ways. I've heard of folks getting cramps etc with some bars and not others. Allowing potential customers to sample is a great idea. Trial & error springs to mind.
  2. Spotted. A wheeler on the bike track not far from the hospital on Friday morning around half 8. I did shout 'mon the Joansin but you were going too fast to hear.
  3. Hoping to get back on the bike for this but finish at 9 in the morning so will try and sneak away early.
  4. Still for sale. Make me an offer. Can't upload a pic because it's too big, can send one in an e-mail though.
  5. Welcome Jonathan, The club is great for new members. Most runs during the winter are easyish. The best way to start come the new year is to keep an eye out for the reliability runs which are very sociable and increase in distance each week for 3 or 4 weeks in a row. (someone please confirm) Then best to go with the 30 milers bunch to guage your fitness and bunch riding skills. I'm off the road for a while due to a newly diagnosed medical problem (not serious though) but the members will make you feel welcome and keep you right in a bunch, in a friendly manner of course. Enjoy your cycling. Mark
  6. Bought brand new last year. Size is extra small. I'm 5'6"ish. The bike has an integrated seat post so the saddle height can be put up or down with the spacers. Bontrager race x lite wheels, 172.5mm Ultegra cranks, 105 brakes, dura-ace 9sp cassette, look keo carbon pedals, oval carbon stem, deda aluminium bars. Really fast, light and responsive bike. Same frame used by the Lotto team in 2007. Looking for £1400. May sell frame on its own. Willing to come to an arrangement over payment if I know you as a club member. Unfortunately i've been medically advised to "cut back on" road cycling, especially TT for the time being.
  7. I'm not happy taking my Ridley on the salty roads. It's the only roadie I have/can afford/have space for.
  8. How would I go about using 1 on a Sunday run? I'd need access to the clubrooms.
  9. Well winters here nad since I have the enviable combination of saving for a wedding and don't really have space for a 4th bike in the hoos I won't be on the road in the winter. I'll be keeping an eye on the bunch in the meantime and have been in touch with a 94 year old former member who wants to come down to the clubrooms so i'll be bringing him down. If there are any days out with MTBers coming up i'll probably come along. Until the spring...
  10. Mudguards are only compulsory after the clocks change.
  11. I would Darryl, can't afford it just now. Couple of months maybe.
  12. Spotted you guys just entering Brodick. Davie's face was a picture of pain. It was me who shouted.
  13. As the title says. Front suspension, V brakes, Shimano gears. In excellent condition, only used a couple of times on forestry tracks. Bought a year ago for £400. Looking for £250. If I know you then you can pay in installments or whatever.
  14. Had a couple of geniuses attempt to overtake me heading to johnstone at the sharp left hander with the anti skid surface. No verbal though, just general bad driving.
  15. I'm away up north on Thursday for a weekish. I'll arrange to get them when I'm back.

Yeah great run guys. Nice and social. That blast along the fron at Greenock was fun. NAE!! I stopped at a cafe in Kilmacolm and had a can of coke only to see Tom flying by. Well done to Brian, he suffered on the climbs but didnse succumb to the walking turnin roon temptation. FYI. http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/s1UGfuq1ReU
  19. Seen the weather for Sunday guys? Seems like most folk are heading out tomorrow.
  20. Hi Andy, Welcome to the wonderful world of cycling. I seem to be stalking Richies posts today. I'll 2nd what he said, get out with the 30 milers to get a taste of group riding. I'm in Paisley too and might be out tomorrow for a bit, i'm nightshift tonight though so I'll be seeing how I feel in the morning.
  21. Welcome Craig. Basically what Richie said. Most weekday runs are during the week. You occasionally get folk going out during the day who do shift work. Mark.
  22. Only if you bring your fancy noo steed.
