SansC reacted to AlanT in Whole Club run 24th September
There's an open invitation to the Jets as well, so long as we've got a responsible adult along to look after them.
I do know we're short of responsible adults generally....

Hi there,
I haven't processed any payments since 6pm of 18.11.16 prior to AGM.
There may be a small delay in processing now as I hand over to your new Membership Secretary for 2016-2017 Alan McLean in the coming weeks.
Alan also has access to the [email protected] email address now if anyone has any queries for him.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thanks for letting us know you chaps have paid though.
Best regards and best wishes

SansC reacted to San Miguel Injury in Sunday the 13th
Jaki, Karen, ross, Joe and myself heading down to largs via the Brisbane glen road. quick stop at the bagel basket and back along the coast road. We passed the main bunch just outside largs and then had 4 unscheduled stops. 1 for a puncture and 3 for services at war memorials, at wemyss bay, inverkip and gourock. We all removed our helmets at gourock and inverkip as a mark of respect.
A very wet but enjoyable day, with all working at the front.- well done guys

SansC reacted to KennyS in Clubrooms Clean-up - Wednesday 9th Nov
There has been a a bit of work carried out in the clubrooms over the last couple of weeks and we're looking to get them shipshape ahead of the roller sessions and the AGM next week
Is there anyone available for a couple of hours this Wednesday evening to assist with the clear out and clean up of the Main Hall and kitchen?
I plan to be at the clubrooms from 6:30pm until 9pm
Any assistance would be appreciated

Hi Everyone
Thought we could have a wee social night in Amaretto much the same as before for drinks and chat and if anyone
wants food then that would be fine too.
Post up if interested in coming along.

SansC reacted to carol cowan in Sunday 6th Nov Helensburgh - Balloch
Hi Graeme, the intermediate paces average about 16-18mph but it can vary. In a bunch you will be pulled along so don't just judge what your solo pace is as it will be higher in a bunch. Sundays run includes quite a long steep hill out of Helensburgh but we normally regroup at the top of climbs as no one gets left behind. if you are feeling apprehensive, there may be a 30miler group run being posted for this Sunday. which is a slightly slower pace and is usually a good starting point for newbies. Keep an eye on the posts. Cheers Dave

SansC reacted to chung in Bike Maintainence Workshop - Wednesday 26th October 7pm
Thanks to everyone for a very entertaining evening indeed, it was good to see folks getting "hands-on" with their bikes!
I too picked up a few tips from others during last nights session :-)
I hope this will at least give people some confidence in working around their bikes, & lets all help to eradicate dodgey mud-guards situation :-)
P.S - Just want to illiterate the importance on fitting a "chain catcher" to your bike frames (as stressed to David & Eric last night) it's a simple/cheap device but essential to prevent the chain jamming between your frame & chainrings ........... ask Paul Leavy :-)
Till the next time then ................
Cheers
