Shame. Alan is on holiday from 14th for 2 weeks, so I can't manage! Another time hopefully.

Could be up for this. I was thinking the same thing for France at September weekend.... Spain to Marseille? Will check calendar tomorrow.

I'm racing Staffs 70.3 on Sunday and have spent many hours training on my TT bike. If I could get round in 2 and a quarter hours I will be delighted!! Somewhere between 2.5 and 2.75 is more likely depending on conditions. There is also the small matter of a half marathon afterwards and I'd rather run that than shuffle. Why be expletive deleted at one sport, when I can be expletive deleted at three!

Hi Charlie I am just catching up with all this. Speedy recovery! Track is, IMHO, much riskier than road. Therefore I reluctantly sold my track bike. (That was two strikes) Recent faux pas counts as three but then where is the fun in gardening?? Get well soon and I'll see you on the road.

You might want to look at DHB pro range. Not quite Assos standard but pretty good nonetheless.

i have a Halfords bike carrier with the arm that grips the down tube. Not the best quality but it works. Yours if you want it.

Thanks to Iain and Eric. Tough on the way out. 6km/hr faster on the way back for the same power!! 24:47 is a new PB for me.

Road works finished yesterday on A8, past Whitehall roundabout. They only resurfaced about a third of it!!
