Was looking round to see where the last man doing work was so I could switch over and then I felt my handlebars twich and then I was sliding along the A8. Jumped up as soon as I could and threw myself and the bike onto the central reservation. Im fine. Looks disgusting but no permenant damage I think. Will find out at the TT tonight how I am. David

Correction joint 35th place.

Very windy and wet day over in Peebles today for the race, but a massive field of 103 riders started. Was won by James Cusick in a time of 54.36. I posted a time of 1.01.34 for 33rd place. David

Cheers, Ive entered the British Eagle Trophy aswell. Wont be able to do a run this sunday 18th as im doing the Tour of the Meldons MTT. David

I assumed wrong. The legs were starting to feel heavy during the neutrilsed section. Didnt think much of it but when we came to the main climb I tried to accelerate to make the lead group of about 20 but sadly nothing happened and I was left in the 2nd bunch. Hopefully the hard miles today will help on Thursday night at the Ingilston crit and Sunday at the Tour of Meldoms MTT. David

I'l be down for this. Will proberly give the Team Time Trial a miss. Individual and 2 up will be enough for me ahead of the 2nd round of the the super6 on sunday. David

Claire came in 2nd. Thought she had it but a very late surge got passed her just on the line. I had more bad luck and punctured. Yet again I went home with the bitter taste of unfulfilled dreams. I'll get it together David

Cheers. First group worked pretty well together most of the time, but there was some playing about half way round the first lap so I went of on my own for about 15 miles. I got caught just after the start of the second lap and we started working really well together and the group slowly reduced until it was just me and the eventual winner. I was starting to suffer for my effort earlier and on the last climb he put in some big digs and my legs decided they had had enough no matter how much I shouted at them. I attempted to get back on the decent but its was hopeless and when a marshall told me I had 500 meters to go I gave up chasing and coasted over the line. Good day and pretty happy with my form.
