The Ridley X-Fire range is nice but might be just over £1500 ;) X-ride are nice too, but not as eh expensive.. The new planetX full carbon/disc looks sweet http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBVISPRIV1/viner-super-prestige-sram-rival-1-cyclocross-bike or I will sell you mine, with only in Crack in frame!

Talk about doing things by halves ....£1200 knicker just to give it a go.

Hows about Kinesis frame <£500 add carbon tubs <£350 and build from there. Wheels far more important than frame, rider far more important than either.

If I was going for exotica my pick would be Stevens though UK distribution dodgy, I believe Raleigh might not be too bad and may have something in common with...

The Alan range looks fabby tbh.

In all seriousness you can't really go far wrong with Kinesis - bulletproof, have threaded BB's :) and unless you go for the race model very flexible in terms of turning into commuter/winter bike.

Dolan...nah.
