You worry to much Richie.

You should adopt a more relaxed turn up and ride approach. .......Although that has been known to cause me the odd directional issue!

You are just as capable as anyone else.

The best part is what goes up must come down :icon_yes

Despite not emailing my interest until Monday morning I still got an entry form back the same day which I posted back yesterday.

I had mentioned that I was a previous entrant in 2011 - maybe that helped.

Ritchie - I am not a good climber so I am using compact + 28.

Ritchie,

Not sure how the entry form works.

George, please enlighten us!

I think £30.00 was mentioned somewhere for the entry fee.

Paul, are you going to drive down, if so any chance of a wee lift? I'll buy you lunch and pay for fuel cost as well!

Cheers

C

People,

I'm going to send the entry forms off tonight with a cheque

for £300 which will pay for all of us.

There is no set entry fee but the drumlanrig people have asked

that entrants consider £30 is (at least) the cost of other sportives.

I'll be out on Sunday so would appreciate payment then.

(or else) :angryfire

Billy, Al has stated you will pay his and he will square you up.

He did also state that getting the cash off you may prove tricky as you are tight as two coats of paint.

Any more questions? Can I get on with my life now?

pressure, pressure pressure.

Hi, Chung,

Yes - I can give you a lift. Fuel contribution appreciated.

Lunch is already provided by the Race organizers - no bacon rolls but plenty of sandwiches! At the end of the first loop (62m) the clock stops and you can take as much time as you want for lunch. Clock restarts when you set off for the second 38 mile loop.

I gave £30 for entry.

Guys, please ensure your payment is in notes, not pound coins. I have enough to carry uphill.

Billy you might have to break that 20 shilling note you have been holding onto since the UK

went decimal.

This is a good run it can be fairly hard if the wind blows .

The first part is the longer part with a few lumps . The other half is really one long climb and drag in some barren waste land after that you have a fast decent to nearly the finish I did it in 6 hours and a quarter Charlie did it in about 6 hours

There is not as many large groups going round so you don't get a free ride as much compared to the etape so if you find a group you might have to work to keep with them
