2023 Subscriptions martin Posted June 28, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 28, 2011 Hi all, The Jets are hosting another two rounds of the Glasgow Youth Crit series on the 28th July and 4th August. These two events are also part of the national Skinny Tyres series (http://web.me.com/mdyoung55/Skinnytyres ... /Home.html) and so will attract riders from all over Scotland as these youngsters try to rack up points in the chase for the Leader's jersey. That means it'll be busy, and I'm looking for your help. I've already spoken with quite a few of you (in the tea room at Strachur) and I'm grateful for all the offers of help. Appreciate that folk have many other commitments, and you may be away on holiday, but I can guarantee you'll see some great racing. And we have a pretty impressive record of sunny evenings in Glasgow too. Can I ask folk now to confirm that they'll be able to come along, and to put their hand up for a job? I need people to: - Help mark out the course, set up the Ezy up, put up signs - from about 4.30pm - Help gear check the riders' bikes - from about 6.00pm (Willie Cosh has offered to lead this, but he will need an assistant or two) - Marshall the racing - from 6.00pm to 8.30pm. It would be good if I could ask for a volunteer to lead the marshal team too. - Lap count the racing - from 6.15 to 8.30pm (Big G Forsyth has volunteered to lead this, but I'm looking for at least 4 people so we can have two teams of counters) That's all really.
