Galeb reacted to P McDonald in Sunday Training Ride 26th July 8.30am
Chapeau lADs. Fine effort in that grimness, took daughter to airport at 6.30am and it was hosing down.
The combination of rain and a party last night left me not keen. Got over it by afternoon so went out for an hour as it looked a bit drier, I was wrong. Got soaked.

Me and Ian at the end into the wet roads. No paceline this time instead Ian suggeated riding two abreast to avoid spary...I thought ok different let's give it a go...we ended up riding two abreast the whole way .
Finished with an avg of 20.3mph not bad for basically a solo effort with Ian beside be .

I'd like to warn everyone never to let Crazy Ivan (aka Galeb) to plan a route. He only knows A roads and dual carriageways. And then he only goes at one pace which he calls tempo. Second worse ride of my life after the Rest and be Thankful last year with Paul McD and Richie Provan.

Just 3 muskateers today for a good hard grind. And it was a really good morning with truly magnificent views of Arran.
Enjoy euro's tomorrow if you go Galeb

Fun night - apart from having to change into the big ring to stop my chain rubbing on the Clune. 50rpm wasn't much fun!

Good ride with Marc in the rain - haven't seen that in a while! After 30 mins or so he decided to cut it short and then like last time solo-ed the rest of the ride to finish with a good avg of 20mph

Not me Galeb, going on a customised training camp to Spain tomorrow. Sole objective is to return fit enough to be able to hang the Galeb Gallop to Largs in August.
And to beat my daughter up the Col de Rates after my coming of age (old age) last year

Enjoyable night. Galeb made it look easy going up the Clune. On the front setting the pace for 90% of it then drifting to the back waiting for someone to attack then countering straight away. Then for the finish some effort by Billy to bridge across to the late break before the sprint. I was sitting about 350-400 watts on Greggs wheel at that point so couldnt have been easy making it across the gap!

Yes chapeau to Galeb who held a gap big enough for a couple of bikes and a red skoda: about 40 secs. 31 degrees in Inchinnan, our very own Nimes to Avignon feelalike.

0nly 8 of us tonight
gary Dunn Andy P Colin Darryl
galeb alan Mclean Greg O’Malley and me
galeb headed off the front at Bishopton. We let him dangle( or truthfully did well to keep him in view)
we all made it to bottom of Clune ( first for me this season)
not sure about placing for non wheelers as I too far behind but believe wheelers finished as follows
galeb Alan Darryl & me
greg & Andy turned off at Bridge of weir leaving myself Darryl & Gary to follow the Greg O’Malley express. Well Gary & Darryl did some turns. I just sat in. At finish it was Greg Gary myself & Darryl

Galeb got a reaction from Darryl Gunson in Saterday Training Ride 23rd June 9.30am
That was a good blast! As I set off for a solo ride Marc turned up and it was the usual 2up . We did the usual route but backwards this time for a change...it was hard going in the wind and a lumpy start that shocked the legs. Few lumps in and we were off full TT mode heart rate at threshold and smashing to Largs. A quick snack on the bike and then back into full gas mode back home.
Good workout and thanks for the company Marc!
PS Anyone planning on racing or is racing this year...this would be a good session!

Hey Galeb,
I'm gonna miss this week as I will be sipping Pimms at Henley Womens regatta in support of my gals.
Have a blast - I don't really need to say that as I know you will

Only me and Jan today and only another three riders. Weather was not too bad once you get going. With a small tidy bunch it was a good workout and we managed to maintain quite a good pace with an avg. of 24.5mph

Wham bam. Made even more "interesting" this week with the addition of Gregg O. Marc and I decided to grab a coffee to let Galeb and Gregg ride up the Heely at tempo and we would catch them at the top
They must have taken a different route as we never did see them ....I took a picture of my legs when I got home

Good ride...skies opened up just before the Clune for a nice cool down and then a good bash up it with Ian and Marc
