Dave C got a reaction from PaulL in Sunday 18th Jine Dalgarven Mill Kilwinning
Good run with the i i i group around the back roads of North Ayrshire. The Dalgarven Mill is very bike friendly and serves cakes and bacon rolls. Thanks for the company guys and girls on a fine warm morning for cycling.

Dave C got a reaction from Gerard Deeley in Sunday 28th May - Eglington Park (2nd Attempt!)
Thanks too Paul for the route today and the rest for the company. Ended up with about 65miles on the clock or is that more than 100k in pre Brexit speak. Dave

Dave C got a reaction from Paul C in Sunday 21st May - Eglington Country Park
Thanks for the run Paul, and correct decision to cut it short but I actually quite enjoyed it, although not a day for hanging about and luckily no punctures etc. Had to check the calendar when we got home that it is nearly June. Bet your glad you came to Scotland 35yrs ago for this weather. Thanks to the rest for company and chat in coffee stop.
Cheers

Really horrible weather this morning but the JWCC intermediates made the best of the day.
Reached Stewarton cafe in the rain and we all enjoyed a bit of food and a hot drink before our return home.
Bunch split at Lochwinnoch and I met Paul Mcdonald strolling along in the rain with a good looking bird !
Thanks again Paul ( bronzed silky thighs !! ) for an enjoyable day out.

Dave C got a reaction from Elaine Muirhead in Sunday 14th May : Dunoon Ferry
Great run today with all kinds of weather thrown at us over in Cowal. Sun, rain, winds and steep climbs.
Four of us made the ferry crossing. Alan Fox, Elaine, me and newbie Alan who done really well on his first run out with a club.
After Gendaruel decent decided to chance going into the Strachur cafe as it was nearly empty. Must be new owners here as they were surprisingly cycle friendly.
After ferry crossing made our way up whin brae and Kilmacolm Road to Gateside Rd where Elaine met up with Ramsay to return to Beith for another 100 miles on the
clock.
Thanks to Alan Fox for providing most of the work at the front.

Yes, good day out on the bike. Good weather and good company and no mishaps unless you count four sheep being sheparded back into their field outside Stewarton after a night out on the road !!

Dave C reacted to AlanT in Millport, 18th June
Bumped into Geoff today who reminded me about the event comprising a TT and a hill climb. Always worth doing, and my entry is in.
I'll decide about the hill climb on the day, as I'll be just back off holiday and perhaps a bit below my best.
Entries close 13th June via CTT.

Dave C got a reaction from chung in Sunday 30th April - Largs Bagel Basket
Anthony, Andy, Dave and Carol left clubrooms at 9.30 and made good progress to Largs arriving at Bagel Basket before 11.00am. Teas, coffees and scones were taken and we were joined by Ian's McGinty and Couttie for a bit. Headed up Brisbane Glen into a headwind which just got stronger the further we went. Sun was out though and the landscape almost takes the pain away. Anthony headed up Kilmacolm Road at the church and the three of us decided to try the cyclepath to avoid getting higher and avoiding more hills. Bit of a mistake as part of the cyclepath was closed and division took us up and down parts of deepest Greenock never seen before and probably ended up doing more overall elevation much to Carols annoyance !!
Eventually came out at top of Clune and then headwind back to Kilmacolm and track to Crosslee. Thanks to the guys for the company and will probably make it a 9.00am start next week.

Dave C got a reaction from Ian Holms in Sunday 30th April - Largs Bagel Basket
I have taken over the intermediates from Paul C for the next three weeks as he is away on holiday.
Clubrooms 9.30am
Track to Kilbirnie and then dams road to down Healie Brae and into sunny Largs and the delights of the BB.
This is the cafe that was featured in the Cycling Weekly run and every Wheeler should visit it at least once.
Return via Brisbane Glen and possibly Clune.
Please post if coming out.
