  1. It doesn't matter how long it takes to complete the 7 mile TT, everyone is different. Really fast riders would complete it in 16 mins, the first time I ever tried this it took me 27 mins. The hilly TT is not uphill all the way, it flattens out, prob about 40mins to complete. For both events riders set off at 1 min intervals.

The Route:- 65 miles, on quiet back roads with superb views of the Firth of Firth and of the Hills to the South, East, North and West of the central belt.1130m of hard climbing. The route runs from Kirkintilloch to Linlithgow taking in Dullatur, Lion Thorn, Shieldhill and California. The return journey takes in Beecraigs Loch, Cairnpapple, Bathgate, Hillend Reservoir, Longriggend, Chryston and Stepps. There are two Cafe stops one in Linlithgow, the other at Hillend Reservoir.
