Been checking the weather forecast & it looks to be ok, on the whole.

Trickiest bit likely to be getting from my front door to the main road.

Andy has text me to say he has just come through Kilwinning and the roads are perfect.

So, provided it doesn't take a massive turn for the worse overnight, I'll be out.

Hope to see tout le monde in the morning.

Wife unwell so on caring duties today.

Pity, was out in car early doors & the roads are fine.

Harrumph. Tea & biscuits instead of lactic burns for me.

Totally grubbed after excellent bogs bunch today. Improved on last week but still popped a couple of miles out from Lugton. Charlie and Hugh were keeping it mixed up and looking very strong today. Good show from JWCC with Charlie, Hugh, Colin, Ian and myself.

After negotiating ice and slush with more luck than poor Charlie, got the bogs bunch roon the coast. Belter of a day.

I have now learned,

1) returning to track league after 2 weeks is painful, but in a short sharp manageable way.

2) returning to full bhoona bogs bunch after 2 weeks, well, one word, excruciating.

Andy, George and Alan all going very well and keeping up the JWCC contingent.

Now in semi zombie state, but a happy zombie.

:)

Andy & I got blasted out the back earlier than in previous weeks

but consoled ourselves with these facts

1) several were jettisoned before us. Only the hard men remained.

2) the pace was noticeably faster than previous weeks due to the

return of a certain skinny wee zombie.

3) it doesn't matter if you get dropped-it's a great workout &, in a way

only cyclists appreciate, GREAT FUN!!!!

4) we are both very handsome, in fact, a group of ladies screamedM

"Aaaaaah Aaaah it's Bros!!!! Aaaaah!!!!"

75% of the above statements are true.

Bogs to Pottery Street one hourish (I know because I have ambushed there).

Exciting day with a slide on the ice on the back roads in a rush to get to bishy.

Met Chung et al. before joining the bunch and then punctured before Westferry.

Solo TT along Westferry and a short cut by Spango put me ahead of the bunch and I rejoined in Inverkip.

Tempo was raised into Largs where I left to go up Haylie and another TT to get home. Absolutely cooked.

Good turnout again and lovely views to Arran but slush even on the coast roads.

For the record 3) is false!

Great day today, JWCC working hard all day, pace definitely faster today (honest!). Feeling the benefit of the faster miles.

Lost Gorgeous on Glennifer Braes. I thought the Ice Monsters had got him. Oh how i was wrong. How we laughed. He can finish the tale ;-)

Monumental effort by Alan to get back on around Inverkip.

Ah, erm, what Andy alludes to is that he descended like a stone while I minced down the braes, he went straight on while I turned left as I live on the left.

A concerned Andy then turned back to look for me as he was concerned I may be lying slightly dead somewhere.

So I was drawing my bath while Andy rode all the way back up the braes in search of myself.

Sorry, Andy

It was very funny George! There's no need for any apologies whatsoever. All part of eing a team. I couldn't figure out what had happened and it was a relief that you hadn't been kidnapped by any Al Qaeda unsavouries that might have been loitering around the Braes :-))
