Thursday 12th May 2011

Would anyone like to meet up at Crosslee roundabout 1830 for 60-90 minutes of hills around Kilmacolm, Langbank etc?

I could post a route if anyone would like to reverse the course to meet us en route. May I suggest conversational pace on the flat, then combative hill attacks with regrouping at top?

Alan / all,

Don't mean to hijack the post but there is some interest in trying to get a regular Thursday night APR going around the Peesweep circuit it has not been an unqualified success so far but on the one occasion I have managed to partake really enjoyed it. Something a bit different and more of a sustained effort with no re-grouping or big fractures in the groups.

A request for a show of hands for this coming Thursday is posted in the Confined Events section. Not wishing to speak on behalf of other members but suspect that quite a few of the regular Thursday night hilly run club were up for continuing with the APR if we could get enough people going along.

Just saying like..... 8-)

Davie.

Alan apologies for digressing.

Tapering for the Etape Caledonia this week. (I am better at tapering than cycling I believe!!) so I will be have an easy hour or so on Thursday. APR was great fun a couple of weeks back but I am also in need of hill work. Alternating weeks would be ideal.

As an observer this week I have been following the posts and like many require some faster work and hill work and would also like to suggest alternative weeks as both would be an equal measure of pleasure and pain

I agree, i like the sound of alternative weeks hills/Apr training.... at the mo, it looks like 2 for the Apr training this week, it's a bit tight for me to get there for 6.30, whereas our hilly route is pretty much on my door step, so i'll plump for a run round the local hills this week....

On basis not enough interest for APR I up for usual hilly route. C U at bus stop off Crosslee O @ 6.30pm.

agree with Davy that APR good fun for all but does require no's. On basis we are moving in to lighter nights how about 7pm roll out for APR next week. This would give us all a better chance of getting there on time. I will start another thread for APR to guage interest

Looks like APR has been binned for this week. Hilly run it is then. 6.30 start really tight to get home from work and even drive out to Crosslees. I do intend turning up this evening as I fancy a run out, however 5 - 10 minutes grace would be appreciated!!!

Cheers

Mark
