    George

    All the best George.....
  3. I think we can all truly, and openly, weep for humanity....
  4. Al, Not surprised by that message from organiser as I think it is probably over subscribed every year - it was featured on the BBC's Adventure Show a few years back as a marquee event.
  5. Have entered the merse and moors 300k.
  6. Cheers ...should get it charged and operational during the week.
  7. So I decided to fit it today couldn't find the instructions and cabled up in what I considered to be the most logical fashion......however later did find the right manual on web and have following query.. The 3 port junction box (A) which is suspended off the stem has ports arranged in an inverted triangle - two at top one at the bottom. Following logic I assembled with the cables routed from the shifters going into the top two ports thus achieving symmetry and used the single (bottom) port to run the longer cable to the inner frame. However the manual appears to show a different routing arrangement with the LH shifter entering the leftmost port and the RH shifter plugged into the bottom port so they are effectively running sequentially from left to right so to speak - anybody know which one is right? Also the inner frame junction box (4 port) it would appear from the manual that it is immaterial which cable goes where - again is this correct? Can't try anything unfortunately as the build has been postponed for the sake of a compatible braze on adapter ....drat! Cheers, Davie
  8. ....some cracking shots of you on Facebook today looking good on the bike.
  9. Another brute of a course ...think I will be spectating at next years Nationals. Insult was added to injury as the last lap and a half was rode & trudged in a blizzard. Paul looking a bit fresher than me in the B's in the last couple of laps.
  10. I'm expecting a podium and no' for me in the A race.....no pressure Look out the thermals.
  11. Aye it was good fun again and it is definitely a good course. No excuses with the mechanicals most of them (including yesterday) being the result of my own stupidity more than anything else ...at the end of the day the defining measure of where you end up is how good you are. Those skin-suits are flattering! Now consider that the large ProVision version is apparently tight on Robbie!
  12. George if you send that photo in they will definitely not let you ride......
  13. To add to the diminishing list of riders will be at CX in Strathclyde.
  14. I'm relatively easy with any of the days - if pushed I would go for traveling out on the Friday to save another holiday for later in the year but realise this may not fit in with general logistics. Paul regards the ferry, after Flanders I swore never again but don't rule it out on my part. Just need to drink more during the trip to ensure I get at least some sleep and avoid sitting next to people coughing their lungs up. I think finding the best fit solution logistically - which will also include flexibility when we are over in France and ease of transit/managing bikes - is key. This may point to car & ferry as actually the best option? As for accommodation/watching the race was wondering about Roubaix itself ? Don't know what the atmosphere/big screen experience is like in the Velodrome on the day.
  15. Brutal! On 1st inspection no damage to rear drop-outs after managing to rip fully tightened rear wheel out of frame on 1st lap, as usual this year calamity on the opening lap put me dead last by some distance. Recovered OK (for me) during the race but absolute inability to run (not ride) on the last lap meant I shed about 8 places which was a bit sole destroying at the time. 60 minutes of this course makes the 3 Peaks look pleasant in comparison. Great effort by all who raced.
  16. For those of you who uploaded your licence did you just take a photo of it and send as jpg? I thought I would be able to go to BC's webpage and get an e-copy of it there but couldn't.
  17. Paul & Paul, l am up for hitting the pave on the Saturday. I will catch up on what I need to book in the next day or so.

    Winter Bogs

If it becomes a Donner Pass situation you will be wanting Billy & George along for the ride.....
  19. Sounds like a cracking trip Chung. I have still to do the real pave of the Hell of the North ....I will look at dates and logistics for this year. Flanders is the one I would actually like to repeat so will see. just mind and take the panniers off going up the Koppenberg.
  20. Was planning to enter this but seems already too late........
  21. Looks like blue 645 for me. Now figured out where to upload licence.
  22. Is anybody else NOT received an e-mail from organisers asking for medical info, or rec'd a bib number. Am reasonably convinced I have entered the right event but when I log onto my account I would be as well logging onto Breitbart as it just comes up with a list of events with a wee tick against the Pyrenees event.
