martin reacted to Colin H in track accreditation
Hi James,
I have booked Amy into the session on the 14th Dec at 1700. It would appear that the junior accreditation sessions are not as popular as the seniors......
I looked at the velodrome section on SC's web site and downloaded the accreditation leaflet. This led me to call the number and I got through right away (unlike some if you believe the hype on some other forums) and got booked relatively easily. You do have to pay by debit card there and then if you book by phone. Failing that you could go to the reception and book it that way.
Cheers
Colin.

I think you do yourself an injustice Billy. The lone attack is becoming something of a trademark of yours.

martin reacted to P McDonald in Largs bailout- Haylie Brae solo or West Kilbride bunch?
The true answer to this question was subject of a doctorate study by Sir Stephen Hawkings, the eminent physicist and author of the breakthrough text 'A Brief History of Time (trialling)'
Many years of measurement and analysis took account of such factors as,
- what way is the wind blowing and how strong is it
- do you need a piddle
- how big are the guys whose wheel you can hing
- will they wait at the top of W Kilbride drag
- how gubbed are you really
- would a can of coke and 4 Turkish delights make a difference
- will anyone shout at you for not taking a spell
- are you riding campag or shimano
- are you on a carbon frame
- what colour is your bike
When first published the headline conclusion shook the traditional world of theoretical physics to its very core,
6 OF ONE, HALF A DOZEN OF THE OTHER

martin reacted to Darryl Gunson in Main Bunch 11 nov
The bunch split with half going up the Hailie and the other half heading towards Ardrossan. Very nice ride out today. Good to see you and the young un...and note for future reference, when the cafe owner refers to the young uns, he's on about Danny not you Mul.

martin reacted to Alan McLean in Ticketmaster single seat nonsense
Warning.
Ticketmaster will not allow you to leave a single seat vacant at the Hoydrome.
I found a block of five but was not allowed to book only four of them.
Finally found a bigger block so I will be there at the Friday night finals.
15 quid per ticket is good value for three hours racing when I recently got hit with a bill of nine quid each for the cinema with those glasses. In Paisley.
See you at the UCI World Cup track event. In Glasgow. (Can't believe I just wrote that :banana )

martin got a reaction from Joshuam8259 in 3 Jets invited to second Scottish School of Racing
Well done to Lewis Mulholland, Danny Mulholland and Sarah Bradford who have been invited by British Cycling to attend the second SSR at the Sir Chirs Hoy Velodrome. This will be another 8 hour session, this time on Match Sprint.
The session has a practical element where riders will learn core racing skills along with classroom type workshops based around understanding of the particular discipline and its cross over to the athlete lifestyle and training guides and ideas.
The same Jets were 3 out of only 20 youth riders from across Scotland to be invited to SSR 1 last Sunday, which was on Flying 200s and Keirin.
Later coaching sessions which they've be looking for invitations to will be on Team Pursuit, Elimination and Madison.
