New JWCC Strava event posted today.

Hi Darryl, That is me all organised, sort of, entered have B&B in Kettlewell booked, travelling down with Gerard ....just the simple task now of getting fit ...mmm ...did I say simple task . Looking forward to it - good to have a focus Carol

It's the traditional start of the season for cycling clubs - the distance increases each week so a chance to build fitness and also see how your bike is performing. It's lost a bit of that these days as a lot of people will train over the winter and also have winter bikes and bring out their summer one when the clocks change but in the past it was about making sure bikes and bodies were in good condition for the better weather to come.

That was some shift from Red Smiddy to Gourock into a 'testing' headwind. When we turned onto the cross tailwind the pace ramped up. Bunch blew apart on Cloch drag leaving about 7 for the Inverkip drag. Exiting Wemyss Bay, the bunch fractured again. I soloed to Largs for a lengthy BB stop with Alan, then Billy then many other JWCC arrived. Excellent wee run back over Heely. 2 days of tank emptied this weekend - I'm sure it will be worth it at some point!
