Where is my race licence and why hasn't been posted directly to me?

BC policy is definitely to send to the club secretary, but obviously if you're not in a club they send it out to you directly. Have you asked Jann if she's got it?

BC will also email you a temp licence (valid for 14 days or so) if you contact the membership dept.

Any idea why it goes to club secy? Is it a Belgian thing?

Thanks

I think the Belgians are more trusting. Isn't it just to make sure you are a member of the club you say you are (and have paid your membership)?

It certainly is not handy having to chase the club sec around! I think the only benefit of putting down a club on the application form is for juniors to get the first year free. Is that right or am I missing something? Hamish is racing this coming weekewnd and has no licence yet. Looks as if it is more sensible to leave out the club name :(

This may be a bit left field but have any of you thought of phoning BC & asking to whom your license was sent, if at all?

The 1st license BC sent me never turned up. Neither Ian Manson nor Jann got it.

I called BC and they despatched a duplicate to Jann which she forwarded to me with stunning allacrity.

Happy hunting RSN (Real Soon Now).

Good suggestion George. A quick call or email to membership @ BT to ask if it's been sent out, and a quick email or PM to Jann is all that it takes. Remember your club secretary is doing this in her spare time James!

Hey, my remark was not meant as a criticism of Jann. I am sure Jann will let me know when the licence arrives. Just don't see the point of them going to the Sec unless BC are trying to save postage.

James,

as previously stated, BC bumf is sent to club sec to ensure you are a club member and have paid subs.

BC don't save any postage in doing so.

Just watch your back, Jann's heavies may be paying you a visit. ;)

Have sent a grovelling apology to Jann. No offense was meant or intended. And I have paid my sub! :-?
