Guest EPCC
How about Troon Mark can you do the route for this 0900
Paul C
I was also thinking of Troon. Hope Mark has recovered enough from his crash last night. Numbers depend on how many will be allowed out two days in a row (Georgetown Cup on Sat)! I can probably remember most of the route having done it twice before. Mark O
Guys, I'm kind of playing it by ear at the moment. Have posted to ride with the 30 milers as an easy option this weekend. I'll see how I feel. A good deal more like myself today than yesterday. Don't write me off just yet. Will decide on the day. M

stuartm
Would someone be kind enough to link me to some Garmin stats etc on previous main bunch rides?
2023 Subscriptions Tom Hill Posted September 1, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 Hi Stuart This is from a few weeks ago from Darryl's posting. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/204353037 On hills everyone climbs at their pace and we regroup at the top or some designated point. The last section along the top of the Haylie down into Kilbirnie is not normal, as we decided to go through and off. ie. no time at front - basically the same as a Thursday night eyeballs out routine. It doesn't usually happen, it just did that time. The rest of the ride was pretty standard. Tom
Guest EPCC
What have we become (post stats ) just turn up and ride the main bunch is just full of mamils nothing to be scared of If its not fast enough just work harder at the front Enjoy
Guest
Mamil as in-middle aged man in Lycra. From memory the Troon run is fairly flat so you shouldn't have to wait for the rest of them at the top of hills As for the main bunch, 85% of them are sociable 96.4% of the time. 12% are Leo 19% are Jedi 28% are Nihilists. Guest
Myself & Chung waited on the 2nd puncture victim. By time we got going again Billy, Tom & Alberto McPhee had split. Headed off with Tony, Chung & Bill but nipped that in the bud when Tony took us on a pothole quest. Bumped into 30 milers again so rode with them for a bit b4 heading off to stretch my legs. 55 miles. Heading off to Turkey for a fortnight next Saturday so see y'all end of September. 2023 Subscriptions Tom Hill Posted September 2, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 2, 2012 93 miles door to door today. Who moved Troon?? I have done that trip three times this year and I am convinced it was about 75+ for me. So tired I had to have a Manhattan recovery shake. Feeling good now.
