2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted June 12, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 12, 2012 Would really love to see it, but not sure. It appears that he can only gain time on TTs, the rest of the time he tends to just be on the defensive. Will still be shouting for him all of July! Guest
Anquetil, indurain, hinault did the same. He is a bit of a sausage at times but would be good for the sport in UK.

Guest
I see he made a show of himself at the finish yesterday. Tut. Also: Christian Van der Velde- keeps the French ambulance service in business. Gets carted off to le hopital every year.
Committee Alan McLean Posted July 9, 2012 Author Committee Report Share Posted July 9, 2012 After ITT today And extra bonfication for telling the cynical continental journos with the doping questions exactly what he thought of them. Go Wiggins!
Guest EPCC
High mountains to come and nearly two mins I now think its possible Go wiggo
Mark O
The Sky train will protect him/minimise any potential losses in the mountains with a view to regaining the GC or putting it beyond doubt on the last ITT. They looked pretty impressive on Saturday's short but steep final climb and the relatively shallower gradients of the mountain stages suit Wiggins better. Can't argue that he won't be defensive, he will ride to his strengths - who wouldn't. I think Sky as a team may have at least one offensive day in the mountains if to do nothing else but underline their strength in depth and heap the pressure on BMC, Evans and the rest of the peleton. Will be good for cycling in the UK if he can do it. Barring illness or a crash its his to lose right now. Frome for a podium finish too I think, expect him to drag Wiggo through the mountains as #1 lieutenant. Yellow and spotty jerseys - yellow lids too probably on their performances thus far. Committee Alan McLean Posted July 21, 2012 Author Committee Report Share Posted July 21, 2012 The answer to my initial post appears to be yes. After the Tt I have run out of superlatives. Will be cracking open a cold one around 1500 tomorrow. Can we get him along to the club dinner?
