  1. Nice run today, first rate company up and over the braes and down to Lochwinnoch for a warming cafe stop. Though in this weather starting back is never an appealing prospect. A brisk pace up the hill out of the village warmed us up heading along to BoW via Tor Road finishing off with a good pace along the Georgetown.
  2. Just a chilled out cycle run, going up through Paisley and over Glennifer Braes and a drop down into Beith and then return home by a route that is yet to be determined. I will be leaving Erskine at 0900 and can meet up where it suits. Post up if interested.
  3. Great weather and a nice compact bunch down to Largs and over the moor. Yes it is not easy, but I am getting better at fueling these climbs. A brisker than usual pace for me so a lazy afternoon and evening of recovery for me.
  4. A lot of hard work being put in, most impressive. Are we getting mats to put under the trainers and keep the floor in good condition?
  5. I have joined the new club on Strava, it is nice to see how I compare to the fit and fast riders in the club.
  6. It is easier for me to get the day off then.
  7. I have a pass issued for a club run. What time meetup and where?
  8. Two hours outside in the cold on Monday to sort this one.
  9. Full strip down of the front end is probably my only way out of this one.
  10. I do clean it often, but before Tuesday's clean it had been about a fortnight since I last cleaned it all down. This is the time of year we all start to put lube on a dirty chain.
  11. I did the Paul Macdonald trick of shoving the bike against a wall when I last cleaned and regreased the headset. I gave it a big shoogle and nothing budged.
  12. Shimano 105 calipers and sora shifters.
  13. I have developed a distinct thump when use my front brake and everything seems to be in order. The pads are lined up, the wheel is true and there are no severed body parts of unobservant pedestrians trapped. Save me a long stint of stripping down and cleaning in the cold and suggest what I should target to get rid of it.
  14. I need some miles as I have been a bit lazy lately, so I am thinking of heading out to Stewarton and over past Whitelee. I am not specific on the route, I just fancy heading out that way. I could can meet at the clubrooms at 0930, so post up if you want to meet up.
  15. I am using Michelin Pro4 Endurance 25 that I bought in Decathlon for £36 for the pair and I am pretty happy with them on my commute.
  16. Very nice bike, good to see it being stored indoors.
  17. Fantastic day out with everyone. Absolutely knackered now and wiffing of campfire smoke, I shall be contented with my day.
  18. A spoon, preferably carbon fibre so you have no excuses when I get to the top of the hill first.
  19. I will have coffee, bring your own cup. Planning on rustling up crepes Suzette, anyone else want?
  20. Graham, I will meet you at the bus stop at 0915.
  21. Is it only the 0930h ferry or is there another group taking the 1000h ferry with the rest of the cyclists?
