  1. Bringing food (recipe from holly at Its nutrition). If hall not open, I will leave in a bag for the 9.30 bunch to shelve. Don't eat 'em, you fast bunch peeps, you need no extra help!
  2. Sorry I missed this one – a few reliability issues!!! Next time for sure.
  3. Going to try to get the legs back in the game. Undecided whether to pitch up for 9.30 or 9am start. Is there an 8.30am start? :-)
  4. Hope to make it along. Not done much in the way of miles so likely be off the back a few times. Apologies in advance!
  5. I'll be there tonight. Got my new wheelers kit so no excuses...
  6. Gutted I can't make this one. Away on a training course Sunday so will be out Saturday instead. Enjoy!
  7. Sounds epic. Well done all!
  8. Might give it a go this year. About time I put in some through the week effort…
  9. Nice one Chung, I'll take a look!

  11. Count me in, not the Muirsheil bit tho
  12. Thanks guys for letting me tag along. Quite hilly, but a great day for it cheers!
  13. Been letting the side down on the Sunday run with my lack of club colours. Does anyone have a medium short sleeve club shirt that I could purchase?

    Tour de Islay

Yes indeed Alex, well spotted – Mr Welsh had a bit of a starring role & it's him on the Bonnie at the start

    Tour de Islay

This wheeler managed to get a small cycling role in a video about taking a bottle of Islay whisky from the mainland back to Islay for the Whisky festival. To celebrate it's return, a few lads cycled round all eight Islay distilleries with cycling blogger Brian Palmer (of the washingmachinepost) before sampling a dram of the good stuff. I'm the one looking knackered on the red BMC, wishing I was on the Cervelo Di2 instead Here's the video link, don't forget to turn up the sound. The music is by Skerryvore and it's a belter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Xx_SiGDEzo
  16. Sounds great, but away that weekend. Hope the weather stays nice!
  17. Thanks Chung, will definitely pitch up for the 70 mile route then. Coffee stop sounds like a good shout too :-)
  18. Not done the Don Smith before. Pace of 20mph on the 70 mile route sounds v fast! is there a fair mix of speeds that would allow me to settle into a bunch or is it every man/woman for themselves?
  19. Should have checked the website before I head out yesterday. Turned up at clubroom for 9.30. Should have checked the weather forecast too!! Worst cycle ever
  20. Middle group for me! Will bring a dozen muffins, less how many I eat today
  21. Bit of a long shot, but are there any Wheelers doing Tough Mudder Scotland on 20 June? Looking for some company on the cycle to the starting line. 65 miles, early start…
  22. Need to get back in the saddle and start putting in some miles again. Middle bunch for me please, weather permitting
