  1. Hi Alan Check out Strava: https://www.strava.com/segments/10345765 So pissed off with my puncture, stuck on a clincher and went back out. Can't have Mark the new boy thinking he's king of the hills...
  2. So the crazy gang are leaving the clubhouse at 8 30 (aka 7 30). I might go round the opposite way leaving later and meet you at Loch Eck.
  3. Even if its cancelled I plan to do it. Is there a Strava segment?
  4. I hope to make the Hilly TT on Saturday. My experience last year was the fields were very small, eg I think 5 folks did the Club 10m TT Champs. Have you thought of teaming up with Geoff Smith for some of the Georgetown events? Last year he was running a Wednesday night event - Alan Mcbride knows more about it...

Scottish 10mile TT is 8 May. Perfect preparation. I've put it on my calendar: 180km paceline practice.
  6. Can't make it. On holiday. Fingers crossed you don't take my Lugton to Kilwinning KoM off me. We raced down the Lochlibo Road last year with the wind on our back...
  7. If "faster" bunch meant 27kph+ and I knew who was coming ("moi" and "edvald" are likely to be people I know but who are they?) - I'd like to come out some Sundays. My first JWCC ride was almost 3 years ago now and I still don't follow what goes on (and so in the main I do my own thing). There must be a sub forum in Esperanto right? I know. This post doesn't help.
  8. Running late. Hope to catch you at Largs.
  9. Bishopton Coop at 10am suits me. We could do the Couriers hill session. Had a spin up the JWCC Bowfield Hill Climb yesterday. Can't believe how fast you guys have gone up. Must have been a force 10 pushing your butts.
  10. If the warm down includes 3 beers and a pie and beans I could be persuaded. What time (10am) and meeting at the club rooms?
  11. Its our Christmas lunch at work on Friday. But despite our religious fervour John-boy and me, we were planning to be at Renfrew Bogs for 10am Saturday. Aren't some of the old timers on a night out Friday...?
  12. I'm definitely up for Double Arran. But I'm 10 seconds off breaking 22 minutes on the Westferry. A final turbo session on Saturday, rest then The Frank Lauder 10m TT trophy on Tuesday. Hope Saturday goes well and take a day off the Renfrew Bunch and get down next Tuesday and visit the dark side.
  13. Yes. But tight for time. Don't wait. Might try cycling towards you..
  14. You need to know the route (we go off individually every 60s) and you need a bike and the £3 entry fee. No time limit. Usually only 6 to 8 cyclists. Very casual. The meeting point is underneath the M8 right on the Clyde. We will talk you through what you do. Probably best get there earlyish.
  15. I'm in. Definitely. Season ends for me. Got Rio from the 8th. No surging. No stopping. Sub 2hrs 30 for first lap. See how everyone shapes up in the next couple of weeks.
  16. Everyone is having a rest day for the 10 mile TT tomorrow Dress rehearsal for the club champs next week...
  17. I won the Houston sprint. Who keeps the score? Anyway. Thought I'd write it on the board in case McPhee says he inched me out (which he didn't).
  18. How can we coax Ian McTavish, Paul McDonald, Alex Baird etc to put on some clip on bars and enter the Club Champs 10 miles? Also I'd like to have a go at a 4 man TT up the GT (Richard, Alan, Me and Jan?) to get a Strava time under 15 minutes. Could we hijack a 2 up GT event?
  19. Forget that last message. Mis-read Paul's. See you 6 30.
  20. Just read the start is 6pm. Thought it was 6 30pm? I guess I'll just go to the Renfrew Bogs then.
  21. I'm up for it. Lost my single Arran KoM last week
