AlanT got a reaction from Gerard Deeley in Frank Lauder 10 and David Raymond 2up TT
The much postponed Frank Lauder 10 (the club 10 mile TT championship event) will take place on 17th August provided that the roadworks on the A8 remain inactive.
The 2 preceding Tuesdays, 3rd August and 10th August will also be on the Westferry for league of 10 events subject to the same caveat. The 2up TTs will be postponed until 24th August with the David Raymond trophy (2 up TT Championship) being competed for on 7th September.

Sorry Roberto, I didn’t check the time before we rolled off. I guess I just made a poor assumption that everyone had turned up.

Yep, only yourself and Paul have posted up to say you’re coming. Sorry, but running a race for two people is not a good use of anyone’s time or effort.

I’ll check out the Westferry in the morning, but I really need more than 2 riders to make it worthwhile.

Nice night for a bike ride, only marginally spoiled by the uphill bits. Great run by Scott and well done to David and Paul on their PBs. Many thanks to Gerard for timekeeping.

Sadly, the lane closure that was supposed to end on 11th June is still in place, and likely to remain so for some time. We will not be racing on the Westferry this, or probably next week, and the Frank Lauder 10 is also in jeopardy.
    So, we have a choice.
    1. Use the restricted gear course for a 2 lap, 10 mile event as part of the league of 10.
    2. Use the Hilly course as part of the league of 10.
    3. Georgetown road for another Chocolate series.
    4. Abandon this week completely.
My favoured option would be 1, because it could be a straight swap on the calendar assuming the Westferry reopens in mid July.
    Sensible opinions please.

I would have been down first if it was not for a pesky puncture on those stupid council road blobs that pass for maintenance these days.
A great turnout of cyclists and the media.  It was disturbingly left to me to speak to the BBC and the Scotsman, good job I can converse in fluent gibberish.  A good blast round the Campsies with many cyclists.  Followed by lunch with Pippa, where we heard a load of stuff about what went on in the pro peloton back in the days; plenty of names named and shameful behaviours.  Nice to see Chung, it has been too long and new member Geo.
