  1. paid, thanks for sorting this out!
  2. I remember the look of despair you had when your garmin battery ran out near the end and there was a possibility that you had lost the ride!
  3. The Loch Katrine road has been closed after some landslides a few months ago, and apparently there is some doubt as to whether it will reopen
  4. It has been a few years ago since we last did it as a club run but down to Mennock Pass and up to the radar station is one of the most memorable rides ive had. There was 7 of us out that day and i think everyone either blew up or was close to it at some point in the ride! Needs decent weather and a long summer day - big miles (130+), rolling grippy roads and pretty committing as there isn't much in the way of bail out options. From last year this was a cracker - could be done from the clubrooms https://www.strava.com/routes/21264510
  5. Medium please, can you pm me payment details
  6. I remember it too however havent heard anything since which i hope is a good sign!
  7. Not sure where feedback for the whatsapp proposal is to go. But here is mine. Personally i'd be reluctant for things to move to whatapp for a couple of reasons. First, large whatsapp groups can quickly become overwhelming (a bit like a chaingang!) and the messages with relevant content (in this case details of the club ride) often get lost. Second it is also not good for prospective members wanting to see what is happening with the club. Even if they are not yet signed up many will still read the forum before deciding to come out on a ride, if the club rides are organised and discussed in private then it excludes those not already in the group from participating (even if just as an observer at the beginning). Perhaps if an information group could be set up so only those who are admins can send messages then it might work out better? The messages would then include the details of the weeks ride (route, where and when to meet) but with discussion about it then being directed towards the bunch forum.
  8. Thanks for the tube and also helping to get the tyre back on the rim...Hopefully all forgotten for the Hamoc next year Enjoyable ride. Even if it was also one of my worst ever in terms of performance and getting dropped with every slight rise. It's going to be a long winter!
  9. (Posting for Jesse as she cant log in to the bunch) Wahoo Kickr smart turbo for sale - £550. RRP is £999 so this is a great saving and the Kickr is in good condition. It has not been used much with Jesse now having other priorities than cycling at the moment! It is a smart trainer with ERG mode, has ANT+ and Bluetooth so can connect up to apps like Zwift, Trainer Road, Sufferfest etc. Goes up to a max power of 2200 watts which if you can do will be enough to win any Georgetown sprint 😁
  10. Wont be there next week but hoping to be there the week after
  11. I have the same issue, i seem to have better luck holding down for a longer click. That either turns it off or changes the colour.
  12. Anyone else going? Been putting off the track comeback too long - may as well start taking my kickings now rather than wait another couple of weeks
  13. Good ride today, Darryl in cracking form and Charlie doing well too. The less said about mine the better...going to be a long winter!
  14. It's worth giving them a few of them a go to see what you like - Zwift and the Sufferfest have free trials, Trainer Road has a money back guarantee if you dont like the first month. Tacx own app you can do workouts for free but if you want to use the other features you need to pay. There are some other options but ive not tried them. I have the Neo and use Zwift via an ipad but a laptop, some phones or apple tv (the 4k version) will work too. To connect to a tv you would just need the right cable.
  15. I have been looking for a new winter bike....a pair of crud catchers would set it off nicely i think 😁 Whoever buys it will be a lucky person, bike is a immaculate!
  16. Yeah cracking day...would thoroughly recommend the off road route for anyone with a cx/gravel or mountain bike. Scotland at its very best in terms of scenery
  17. Not found my racing mojo yet so going to wait until November
