  1. Bike finally built. New chain ring, gear cables, brakes and chain and swapped rear derailleur for 32 tooth comfort. Glad I chained chainring. 6 broken teeth and really badly worn. Just needs a shake down now.
  2. Can't make Friday I'm afraid Colin. With the Fred Whitton weekend and then trip to Mallorca I need to have some non-cycling time!

I'm still trying to remove the image of Andy being brutalised by the bison... Shudder! How did it go Andy? (The Crit not the intimate details of you being brutalised by the bison) Ayrshire Alps sounds interesting and would be up for this too.

I've got Ingliston Crit race on Tuesday... Does that fit in with burying oneself 3-4 days before? I think saving legs is for best and happy to help with a single. Or put the DA back a bit?
  5. Oh dear. Wonder what we'll be like coming back from Mallorca...
  6. Loads of new and extremely beautiful roads for me today. So glad I dragged myself out of bed! Did anyone else get sunburnt? Legs, nose and cheek bones got it.
  7. Won't make this now. Enjoy - hopefully you get the same weather we got today.
  8. I should be good for this. 0935 at bridge?
  9. Is anyone passing Houston bus stop on way to bridge? 0810ish?
  10. Wires? On electronic gears? How quaint... They're so different than mechanical when it goes slightly wrong - just no worky. Found that out the hard way, but fortunately just a broken battery tab and could bodge a fix until home. Fingers crossed its just the cable. If it was working fine until you banged the bike after washing it's surely got to be something worked loose.
  11. Thanks to Mike and Ian (and Ginty for technical ownership of my phone!) Was a reasonably pleasant night. Except for the TT bit!

  14. We could take in Jan's segment on the way home, then drop into BoW via Big Dipper or Kilmacolm.
  15. Meeting at Morrisons or club? Sewing bee option has thrown me!
  16. Could handle a be back sharpish run, but a bit too time constrained for Aberfoyle. Hills required before FW...
  17. Looking at the posts I think your Easter eggs are gonnae get a doing!!!
  18. I added shorts to ramp up the grittyness levels! Only felt cold during the apoplectic rain and wind just before the cafe. Cheers guys. Tough ride, made tougher by the ridiculous headwind.
  19. 0730 sounds good. Is that bottom of Bowfield climb?
