  1. Elaine's great write up of 2018 adventures got me thinking about 2019 and time to start planning. And I actually thought about something other than the mythical DA. So, the Amstel Gold Sportive is the day before the Pro race and is on Saturday 20th April. Various distances but I was thinking of the 240km route with 30 or so of the short and sharp listed climbs. And of course finishing up the very famous Cauberg, the scene of Philippe Gilberts finest moment. I was thinking of something along the lines of getting there by Friday pm latest or maybe Thursday to ensure time to reassemble and ride bike before Saturday, arriving in Lille at 9pm the night before Paris Roubaix this year when we had to assemble bikes and leave by 4am was just a wee bit tight ! Pro Race Sunday, return Monday or Sunday night. Anyone else up for this trip ?
  2. great job Elaine and great write up. All the best to you and Ramsay.
  3. Great effort by every single person out in that today, rider, helpers, family members ! Well one.
  4. Big kudos to anyone out this morning, I saw Marc and Galeb riding up the Bowfield and it looked mighty grim (the pace and the weather!).
  5. Cheers Stuart, might join you chaps on the track. However don't wait, still getting over the flesh eating man flu and got a works function tonight !

    Plumber

Anyone know of a plumber for a small job in Lochwinnoch ? They are not eay to find ! thanks
  7. I entered last Thursday then withdrew last night due to worst man flu ever in history, unfortunately the days of carry over entries are gone so its tough chips
  8. Much as I would like to submit to the weekly 'seeing stars' session, I am very unlikely as picked up "flight throat" this week. If overnight recovery then probably heading down to race at Strathaven to try and get a reserve slot.
  9. Had hoped to join but not able to, enjoy
  10. Oh and meant to say I should be there. Fast run back from Largs sounds good Galeb and Ian need to see though, the BB might sound better on the day.
  11. Very nice run today with Colin and Darryl. Loch Thom in both directions was very pleasant
  12. Just a thought, might be worth thinking about avoiding the track to Kilmacolm and Port Glasgow, when out with Colin this morning he mentioned quite a bit of debris from the high winds and he had ended up getting 2 punctures.
  13. Colin and I meeting 9am Houston for Loch Thom or similar. :banana
  14. Have abandoned plan for Dunoon tomorrow as not many takers. Going to head out 9am for 60 miles or so flexible. Anyone else heading out locally.
  15. Realistically Galeb it would be about 3pm. Or 2pm if you do not stop at café and head straight to Gourock ferry.
  16. Saturday looks good, I posted in bogs forum to see if anyone up for the classic run of Glen Fruin, Rest, Hells Glen, Sheila's Diner 9am at Erskine Bridge anyone ?
  17. Brilliant Alan, your imagination has no bounds.
  18. Good stuff Ian, would like to join you but business stuff on Tuesday and Thursday this week
  19. Chapeau Galeb, I really missed my weekly dose of insanity which is very useful in keeping sane ! Not next week either as could not race at Rothesay on Sunday after a Saturday 'pacey'
  20. Some fantastic photo's there. Looks pretty awesome. Except George of course
  21. excellent work team, chapeau to you all, :banana
