crisp clear day and bright winter sunshine for this pan flat course.

I was delighted to see about 15k of tape as the organisers squeezed in a wriggly spiral of pain across the meadows.

The ground had not properly frozen so was nice and sticky, lots of rear hangers popped off.

Very upset to see that the course was actually drying up during my race, depriving the young chaps of a real mud fest.

Only a few Jets in the earlier races. I was then racing with Jess, James and mike (who had probably cycled there) and then stayed on to watch Davie, Alex and Paul suffer later. Chapeau to Davie for drool of the day (sorry davie but we must tell the truth)

Signed up for Plean next week.

I am away to practise remounts at which I am still awful. Also scanning small ads for a van, petrol driven pressure washer, spare bike, workstand and spare wheels which are de rigeur for "those who do not suck", a group I have little chance of joining.
