Planning a run to Garelochhead, via Balloch and Glen Fruin. About 67 miles, with cafe at Garelochhead.

Meet 0900 at Miller St.

Note the Kilcreggan ferry does not run on Sundays at the moment, so will return via Helensburgh.

I was hoping to do an Arran loop, but after looking at the forecast for Saturday and the ferries for Sunday, I think it's best to keep that for another time, whilst wishing those doing the double on Saturday all the best!

I was thinking of Cafe Milano, which now seems to be called Cafe Craft and has 'diversified' into knitting and the like. I'll ring them up tomorrow when they might be open and check if they can cope with us.....

Hi Graham,

I'll be hoping to join you on this one since you know how much I like going over the bridge & a cafe stop in my bike ride!

If I'm not at the clubroom then I'll most likely to meet youse end of Georgetown Road.

Here's. Hoping for good weather on Sunday for everyone!

Cheers

Chung

6 left the clubroom and picked up Mr. Fox at the bridge, who told his Mrs he was only out for "a wee spin" after his Bethany Sportive the day before.

The route was as Graham intended, Dumbarton - Renton - Alexandria - Balloch - Glen Fruinn - Garelochhead (Cafe stop at the Cafe Craft) - back home via Helensburgh.

No major incident to speak off other than the views up on the hills were alway beautiful, especially on what was better weather than predicted. The cafe was a good call with friendly & speedy service (a complete contrast to the week before at Strachur :-)), definitely worth more visits in the future, even more so if you're a "knitting" enthusiast since thats what they seem to specialise in. Maybe I can commission them to knit me a pair of "Belgium Bootie" in the Joansins colours ;-)

Thanks to Graham for posting/leading the route and also for the wheels & company guys & girl, great run as always!

Now Mr. Fox ............... 300km .......................?!

P.S Sorry to hear about your 2 punctures Ritchie, even before you got to the clubroom hence missing the run. Just think what would happen if you were riding your tubs...........

Cheers

Chung
