Paul C
A lovely day for a ride. A good turnout. Good to see Charlie's cheeky wee face back in the Bunch. Struggled a bit after West Kilbride - legs felt like lead and backache. Thanks to Chung and Al for towing me back. Chung - hope no damage to person or bike after your wee tumble. New name for Al - think he should be called Brent cos he is flying south for the winter like the geese! ( it came to me while we were pedalling down Georgetown road and the geese were flying overhead - yeah, yeah, I know, I should have been watching the wheel in front and not looking up at the sky!!) Life Members chung Posted October 13, 2013 Life Members Report Share Posted October 13, 2013 Fab day out in the bunch. If Carlsberg did bunch rides............ Mark, sorry but I can't agree you on that one well not for me anyway! :-) It was a good run apart from my wee spill, my rear wheel popped out and brought to a sudden halt just as I got out the saddle for a wee uphill stretch just after West Kilbride. No major problem apart from broken mudguard, scrapes to the bike & a few cuts/bruises! Alan, now that you mentioned it, I did felt a knock to the head as I hit the deck. Hope you didn't think I was a rugby ball :-) So, Iain, I'm fine but thanks for asking! Spanish Inquisition - what ever happened to the rest of the bunch after Dalry coming into Kilbernie? The sprint trio of Charlie, Mark & Colin sped off with me & Big Al waiting at the Kilbernie cycle track for the rest to catch up. But after 10 minutes of waiting no sign of anyone, so we just rolled back to Johnstone via the track ad home. 83 miles for me, magic! Thanks for the wheels to follow chaps! Same again then next Sunday! Cheers Chung

Guest EPCC
Chung There is a wee patern appearing here concerning you and falling I would give Mul or Kenny a phone and see if you could join the jets for a few sessions on basic bike skills Could I recommend the holding on one first

Paul C
Chung, As we entered Kilbirnie those of us at the back who wisely did not dispute the sprint turned right and took the route through the 'business park' and got to the track ahead of you to avoid the torment of cycling down the High Street!
