2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted February 9, 2013 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 Ross I am very relieved the flying satsuma's condition was not terminal. It gives us something to laugh at on a dull winters day.
Mark O
Snowing in Carmunnock right now. Are we still on for this morning? Considering an alternative route perhaps? What's it like further west? Will give it til 9 and then decide. May drive down to clubrooms see who turns ups. M

2023 Subscriptions Gummers Posted February 10, 2013 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 10, 2013 Hi all Headed straight home instead of stopping at club rooms. The thought of getting warmed up only to get cold again was too painful. Cheers Andy
Richie Cross
As much as I fancied the social aspect of soup and tea at the club rooms, I was glad to be able to get home early. Good decision I think. Winter socks and new neoprene overshoes and still had cold toes. Kind of still enjoyed it though! Fingers crossed for next week! Paul C
At least we tried! Glad to head straight home at Lochwinnoch. A hot mug of tea never tasted so good!

Guest EPCC
Cold and slush not a great day for grip thought it best to cut short did not fancy a few weeks off the bike
KennyS
Where did you guys cut short? WoSCA Youth ride was snowed off this morning from Malletsheugh Inn. Correct decision from Mearns side of Moor as roads were covered. One junction down the 77 and it was green all the way round Fenwick, Moscow Circuit and all the way back to Canny Man. The worst section was from the crossroads above Greenacres down to Howwood. Weather was definitely moving in though K
Richie Cross
Kenny, we went up Bowfield and along towards Uplawmoor but turned onto the road towards Lugton where left would've taken you to the Canny Man. How did the other group get on today?
Mark O
In a perverse way I enjoyed the run today, nothing else for it but grit your teeth a pedal. Glad I went out and the right call was made regards route. Hopefully our jaunt over the bridge next week will have better conditions. Guest EPCC
After coming down from bow field weather was getting worse the further west so turned up towards barmill then home only thirty miles Just didn't fancy coming off
Colin McPhee
Enjoyed getting out for about 40 miles today anyway. The headwind along the Georgetown on way back to Bishopton was tough going. Had to peel off at Kilbarchan due to time constraints. A wise decision to curtail the run at Lugton. Hopefully better weather next week
