DavieB
With most of the usual suspects off to a sportive is anybody out for some miles on Saturday morning. I am time constrained so the general objective is to cram in a decent amount of miles in a short time period so not planning on dawdling. General plan is to stay local(ish) with bail out options, something like: Howood, Lochwinnoch, Greenock (via the high road), Brisbane Glen and returning via Fairlie, plenty of options after we hit Dalry for route extensions depending on the time. I need to get back either home or the Bridge of Weird by 14:00hrs. Say meet at the clubs rooms for 08:30 and head out. None too precious about the route and can make later start if there are those coming from further afield. Who in? D
2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted May 2, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted May 2, 2012 Davie, Greenock high road is currently closed at the Kilmacolm end. Not sure if you can get on to it via the South Newton road (don't know its real name, but its the one passed the guide camp). If not, then I guess you need to go through Kilmacolm and down the clune. Have fun. R
Members Richard
How does "not dawdling" compare to last Saturday's pace?
DavieB
Richard, If you refrain from half wheeling the pace will be just fine Brisk but comfortable is the best description I can come up with at this hour. D
Members Richard
One man's comfortable is another's purgatory. I'll confirm or cancel tomorrow, Davie, when I see how I feel. I went to the doc's earlier in the week. I'm still a bit under the weather, but apparently it's OK to cycle if I keep a lid on it and stop if I feel bad. Will you be out and about again, Greg? DavieB
Richard, Sorry to hear your still not 100%, if you feel up to a run come along as it is not intended to be a "kicking" session though realise you have a fair way to come to the RV. Paul, 08:10 at LochW is OK by me. Cheers, D

2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted May 5, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted May 5, 2012 Sounds good, I'm in the market for steady miles on Saturday with a few meaty climbs Well the above was certainly achieved after Davie B suggested the Galston leg bender. Greg, Davie and I had a belter - brilliant weather but mighty cold up the transmitter Had to go to bed for nearly 2 hours this afternoon
