Perfect...Thanks Iain. It states it is £18 to enter the race. Is that the typical cost or do you get a discount if you have a Silver British cycling membership? If you don't know don't worry about it. Just looking to pay the correct amount as it mentioned something about discounts for Silver members. I'll dig into it a little more.

Last year's survey identified that we would like maps of the Bunch Rides to be avaialable on the website (and also linked to the Bunch) to help new members and those like me with no sense of direction to have a vague idea where the ride goes, the length and climbing profile.
 
I know from the main bunch we have some classic rides we repeat frequently (and not just the trips to the Bagel Basket) and presume its the same for the other Bunches.
 
Can I ask members that are recording their rides on their Garmin, etc to save the ride as a route and message this to me. It will take time, but eventually we'll have a great selection of great route maps on the web to link to bunch ride posts.
 
I hope this makes sense. If there are any techy issues please post and I'm sure some of the more computer literate members can advise (I'm thinking of Jan and Chung!).

I just recently moved to Quarriers Village after spending a couple of years in the US working. I'm a keen cyclist and I'm looking to find a club to ride with again. I had actually ridden with the Wheelers (can't remember which bunch but remember doing the Largs run a couple of times) on a couple of occasions in the past but that was just before I left for the US so didn't really get to know people. I messaged Alex B earlier today about joining you guys for a ride and he suggested posting a message. Going to pop along for the chaingang on Thursday 6.10pm so look forward to meeting everyone - hopefully the elastic won't break too earlier on!
