I may be at the bridge for 1000h, but I have precisely 2 hours to get back that same place. Which may suit anyone interested in a shorter day.

Good weather, good route, good chat, everyone looked after and a little under 100km. Perfect bunch run with the Wheelers.

Just to let everyone else know; #9 for Chung and I #5 for the others. Feeling tired and not yet fully warmed up, but I am aglow with the feeling of accomplishment of riding in difficult weather with most excellent company.

Sort of planning to be at the bottom if the Clune Brae for 1000h.

I will still be out, but if nobody in this forum is going to turn up (rules #5 & #9) then I notice that there is a meetup in Renfrew. It will be bad form to commit to another over this but if you are going to make it do post a confirmation. Otherwise I may have to opt into the Renfrew bunch.

I am glad that you have a plan, though lets decide on the day when we know who else turns up and the weather forecast and physical willingness after Christmas day indulgences.

I am planning on heading out, so I will plan on meeting at the clubrooms at 1000h. Any idea of route and back by time (we are going to the cinema later in the afternoon)?

I cast the runestones, lit some candles under my bottom bracket and laid out an offering of cake for the great god of cycling (apocryphally for some it is not Merckx!)

There appears to be a weather window this Tuesday when it will not be completely overcast with incessant rain and bad visibility. So we will be meeting behind Amaretto at 0945h? Then on to Kilbirnie and as far as sensible (weather, legs or time constraints) towards Ardrossan on the B780 then return with the wind on the B714 and B707.

Another fine run with the wheelers, seems like good company more than compensates for lousy weather as I did not notice any rain.
-
I will be there at nine.

I am heading out Tuesday morning from Erskine, probably over on the Kilkreggan ferry and back the shorter route through Helensburgh and Dumbarton. Post up if you can meet up and where and that can be the route.

I plan on being there

Thank you very much Paul for your time and knowledge. A few new ways of dealing with my bike learned and I am now in the mood to strip, clean and grease my headset tomorrow.

I will be there, but should I bring my own bike?

Meeting behind Amaretto in Bridge of Weir between 0930 and 0940 (I drop my kids at school in Erskine first). Head out to Howwood, Stewarton and back via the reservoirs behind Barrhead.

Planning to head out from the south of Erskine bridge, Dumbarton, Helensburgh, Garelochhead and Kilkreggan ferry. Options for the return from depend on expected road conditions and length of time required in a café in Gourock to warm back up.
Meet at the bridge at 1000h and post if joining please.
