2nd in the Series and I have been demoted to the B race after finishing in bottom 5 in last race, should have just stopped running with my bike and got a DNF Looking forward to this one as its the preview for the British Champs course, whos going?

Got to love the Strathclyde course its got a bit of everything, Myself and David got gridded(another first) but followed the outside line at the start and ran into a swamp and lost a good few spots, this is why checking the course out is a must Davie had a another mechanical on lap one and I thought that would be the last I saw of him. I had the family pit crew today and and did a couple of bike changes... having a clean bike was great and help me maintain my place and gain a few, but checking the brakes on your spare bike before a race is a must . On the last lap I saw Davie not far behind on the red gravel climb and put a few digs in I thought I was safe as I came to the finish line and stopped pedaling and rolled towards the line just as I crossed I saw a flash of blue and yellow as Davie sprinted across the line... cheeky **** luckily my forward momentum due to extra muscle I carry placed me ahead of him although we got the same time, but great recovery from him from a mechanical(again) Thats the series over for this year and out of the 230 riders We placed 33rd and 37th which aint too bad, Davie would have been close to the top 20 if he hadn't had so many mechanicals this year, a few more races left if anyone fancies jumping in the pond!

Train! Race ride out if weather nice to watch a couple of cobble sections back for beire and frites in velodrome and catch finish

Paul I'm good with the Thursday dates, the 9.30 train back might be a bit close with the Eurostar? But im sure you have looked at this, it says you need to ring up to book bike on, are you happy to book the journey and i can transfer the cash straight away? it would be good if we all managed to get on same trains/eurostar. let me know cheers I also dont mind Chungs idea for ferry, but I dont think DavieB wants to take the ferry

Rider statement: After a discussion with my team and coach it has been decided to give the Tour a miss this year and focus on the early classics, this has taken bit of rescheduling and coercing but it looks like I will be returning to the Pave this year. Let the Training begin

Wow Chung sounds like a superb trip! I'm doubtful for Roubiax but I need to take a look again at Holidays and travel, I would love to do it again but only if i'm guaranteed bad weather I have a Large 10 litre Saddlebag, Toptube bag & small Gastank all sitting gathering dust until the summer so you could use them if you wanted, I also have a set of Vittoria Pave 25mm tyres used a handful of times if you need, let me know Paul

1. Turn off your location services and back on again in settings (Check strava is on list as always or while using in location services) It that doesn't fix it try 2. Remove and re-install strava app last option 3. Raise a ticket with Strava(they are really fast and helpful) here
