  1. I'll try to get to Bishopton for 08:00 to help out for a few hours.
  2. Just seen this as I've been away. I've made a payment to the club's account. When's the next time the gear will be available for collection?
  3. I'd join this one, but I'm away in Liverpool this week-end, with a sportive on Sunday. Should be out the following week, hopefully.
  4. Sorry, folks. I'll not make it this morning. Something in last night's dinner has seriously disagreed with both of us - lucky we've got two toilets. Looks like a lovely morning. Have a great run.
  5. Elaine, I should be there for this one. 9:00 at Miller St. I like Mark's idea of joining up with the main bunch, and if the pace is too hot then hopefully there will be enough intermediates to make a decent group.
  6. Rain's too heavy. Will not be going out until later.
  7. Sounds like a good run, Andy. Unfortunately I can't commit to it yet - waiting to see if I've got a place in a golf competition on Sunday, which I'll find out tomorrow. If no golf, then I'll make this run.
  8. Thanks, Chung, but it's a bit late to change the time now in case anyone else turns up.
  9. Thinking of doing Helensburgh, Faslane, Glen Fruin, Balloch, Dumbarton on Sunday. Leaving from Miller St at 9:00. Some company would be welcome.
  10. Lovely run today. I had about 75.8 on the clock when I got home, so it would be about 70 for the clubroom to clubroom section. Thanks to Bill and Mary for the company.
  11. I have to drop a package off at Skelmorlie Golf Club, so I'm planning on fitting it in with a run on Sunday morning. Thinking is Georgetown Rd, Bishopton, back road to Port Glasgow, Cloch, Skelmorlie, West Kilbride and home. Some company would be welcome if anybody wants to join me.
  12. That's tough, Chung. I know how it feels to have the fitness slipping away while you are plastered. Time to fit in a family holiday, I think.
  13. Glad you had a good run. Apologies for bunking off with Bill. It's not that our pace is any faster, just that we needed some extra miles. We did Fairlie Moor, Brisbane Glen and then the climb out of Greenock past Whinhill Station - 62 miles for me.
  14. I'm hoping to be there tomorrow.
  15. I'm planning to cycle through to Edinburgh for this on Sunday. There are a couple of organised rides going through - probably relatively slowly - you can find links to them on their web site - http://pedalonparliament.org/ If anybody wants to join up for some company going through, let me know. I'll be meeting up with family in Bathgate afterwards as getting back from Edinburgh could be a bit problematic unless you want to ride back as well. I've got a two-bike carrier, so I could help out someone if it's needed.
  16. I'd join you, but I'm currently in Aberfeldy for a wedding tomorrow. Enjoy the run.
  17. Saturday's golf day for me, Andrew. May be out on Sunday for a recovery run after blowing up again last week-end. Hope you get some company.
  18. Hi, Chung. You've supported the intermediate runs really well when they have taken place, which is great - and you've posted some good runs too. However, with Majorca looming, I think it's right that you should be training with that in mind and I'd not expect an intermediate run to be what you need at the moment. Cheers for now.
  19. Good one, Greig. Thanks. I'm in Liverpool next week-end, so I can't make it, but I'll certainly be interested in seeing how the ride goes.
  20. Billy, nobody's posting runs for an Intermediate group at the moment, which is why I started this thread. It's difficult to know if there is enough interest to form a viable group. I'm sure I'm not the only Wheeler who's also a member of the CTC and I don't see anything wrong with making people aware of a run when there is no appropriate club run posted.
  21. Oops - CTC ride starts from Johnstone Station at 9am.
  22. I've been posted missing since bailing out on a run a few weeks ago and it's going to be a couple of weeks before I'm out again. So, if anybody else wants to post to see if there are others looking for an intermediate run, please do so. Hopefully, I'll get back to posting again in a few weeks. P.S. There's a CTC run leaving from Gilmour St at 9am on Sunday, which I may do at least part of, depending on how I feel after giving blood a couple of days ago.
