  3. Folks, I am trying the etape du tour this year, Modane to Alp d'huez. As I have never cycled in France, and I don't want to do this route blind, so I am popping over in June for some training. I am staying in Valloire, and planning to do the 3 climbs, Telegraph, Galiber, and Alp d'Heuz over the week. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions of any other Col's to try since I am in the region. Also any hill climbing training tips would be useful. Cheers Dave
  4. Excellent day, went as hard as I could, suffered the last 5 miles, but made it over the finish line, roll on the trossachs ton. Well done to all. Dave
  5. I am in wave b, will try and hook onto the jw bunch when you pass me.
  6. I would say the course is not as hard as Drumlanrig, if you are doing the 100km, then the only nasty bit is the Crow road, but if you are doing the 100miles, then you have the Dukes pass and the Crow road. But you can get round the Drumlanrig course yesterday, so you will get round just about anything. Dave
  7. Colin, Myself and Al did it last year, and we are in this year as well. It will be good to head round together and I am sure that Al will lets us beat him, just like last year when I beat him, only because Al took a wrong turn in Stirling. Dave
