  1. Great route but will be in Arran this weekend. Enjoy.
  2. Anyone else got a 10speed casette with a low gear of 28 or more? Either Campag or shimano will do.
  3. Another epic ride. Does this mean you won’t be doing PBP this year?
  4. Brilliant Glen. I’ll pop round this week. Tuesday any good?
  5. Thanks Paul, but it has to be a 28 or similar. Just looking to give Robbie a wee bit extra for the hills when we head to Arran next week. Currently he’s got a 25. He may be ok, but if anyone has an old cassette kicking around with a bit of life left, it would be appreciated.
  6. Hmmm. Could be up for this. Will confirm tomorrow.
  7. Looking for a 10 speed cassette (Shimano or Campag) with a 28 tooth sprocket. anyone got something?
  8. It’s not hard to be safe, even on a training ride. Those at the front need to be mindful of the effects of their actions on those behind. So, for example, when approaching roundabouts or junctions the object should not be to sneak through, but to ensure that the bunch can get through. This may mean stopping. The whole point of this bunch was that it was to be a bit more controlled and accessible than the Renfrew Bunch. Even though there are now points to be won, it is not a race and should not be ridden as though it is. Cheers
  9. Could be up for this. It's complicated, so will watch the thread.
  10. Thanks Iain and George. We will raise a glass in honour of you two, and other absent friends.
  11. Thanks but I’ll just do my own thing. Can’t be out too long anyway. Have fun.
  12. Flexible on time if anyone would like to accompany me.
  13. Will be out early tomorrow for a brisk 3 hours. Route tbc, but thinking Fairlie, Largs, Brisbane Glen, Whin, Home via track. Leaving club rooms at 8.30.
  14. Well done guys, a tremendous achievement. As for it being all in the mind, you’ve certainly got the right personal qualities for that
  15. Hi Linda Nothing is finalised and all depends on the weather, but probably up the track and down the Clune Brae to the ferry. Then a ride up to Strachur and back over the Glendaruel and Loch Tarsan climbs. Probably stop at Sheila’s Diner and then back on the ferry and retrace route home. Cheers Darryl
  16. Charlie and I will be riding down to the ferry for a steady ride on the Cowal, on Wednesday. 8.30 at BoW viaduct on the track. All in maybe 90 miles. Come and join us.
  17. Yes I think we made the best of deteriorating conditions. Cheers for the coffee Charles.
