  1. Anyone for the 'pacey' 50 miler tomorrow morning 0830 at BOW lights?
  2. Very well done Richard, and very well done Iain and Ian too
  3. Billy, u really need to get out on the 'pacey' 50 miler to get rid of all your 'energy' Get yourself to top of whin ahead of the those more disposed to the rolling start then you can blooter up the coast until you can't tell left from right Its really great fun, honest.
  4. Great to see so many this morning. Sure the pictures will be great even with Billy's crumpled coupon Just for info, Galeb and I gave it full beans up the coast and at one point in the exposed headwind we were doing 15.5mph. Also great to see one of JWCC's finest for a few miles at Greenock, Katrina Hair (Hamilton). Looking lean and fit as always. Another weekend, another Galeb 'pacey' 50 miler, another pure banger.

    wahoo

Iain, as an option I use Lezyne. It works fine with 4iiii LH crank power meter. Don't use a heart rate monitor so can't comment on that.
  6. Intrigued about the twist. But I'd rather not know in ADvance as it is likely to involve stem chewing
  7. Chapeau lADs. Fine effort in that grimness, took daughter to airport at 6.30am and it was hosing down. The combination of rain and a party last night left me not keen. Got over it by afternoon so went out for an hour as it looked a bit drier, I was wrong. Got soaked.
  8. All the best team JWCC, have a great time lADs. Just remember the things that matter - this is good preparation for WSA.
  9. Galeb, I know this will sound like I'm wimping out, but you know by now I really enjoy a good kicking ....... I see the weather is now for heavy rain all day Sunday. Please just stick to Saturday as it looks stable and mild all day. cheers
  10. I reckon Colin was 4th Ian, big Al and Andy had gone up short cut. :banana
  11. Excellent. Although the old adage comes to mind "Be careful what you wish for"
  12. Cannot do Saturday. Don't know whether I'm sad or relieved! Will be doing similar on Sunday.
  13. I reckon the legend of Arran needs rejuvenated. So I hereby declare this is the year of the WSA, winter timetable starts 22/10/18 so I will be on the lookout for a decent Saturday thereafter. Thought a wee trip down memory lane to halcyon days of 2011 might be in order, and the pioneering 4 up that achieved the 1st SA. Dr Alan McLean, Fergus O'Carroll, Davie Borland and me.

Cheers Darryl. My diary secretary reminded me I need to be home for 1145 latest tomorrow ! Had conveniently forgot that one. So I have 2 options and being as you are first to reply the choice is yours. 1. I will be out from 8am. Happy to meet you at Howwood 9am but will not manage full Galston transmitter route. Sure we can still do a pleasant but truncated route. Or I will turn back a bit earlier. 2. Meet 0830 BOW traffic lights if Galeb and Marc up for it as they usually are, for the Whin - Loch Thom - Largs - W Kilbride.
