I received an email from the daughter of a former member asking for help to identify a badge apparently awarded by JWCC. Anyone got any ideas? I have found in my mother's possessions a badge on a maroon stripped ribbon which she insists she got when a member of the Wheelers years ago. I wondered if you had any illustrations of any badges etc that your club gave out years ago. My mother is called Lavinia Blackwood (new Gillespie) and was born in 1923. I will try and send you a photo of the badge to see if you can help me identify it. Thank you. Jane Blair, Aberdeen

Repeating Alan T's thank you to Chung and Alan McLean for timekeeping with a smile and to Colin Edgar (Jets dad) for holding. Thanks also to Alan T for organising the road closure to allow the event to happen. -

Looked really ugly for racing today. Well done all for turning out and congratulations to Robbie for retaining his title once more. Smashing to have 20 Jets racing too, with 8 of them taking on the big hill as well as their own climb. -
Yep, Kenny and Susan's wee Lusia has just taken a major step up. After a fantastic summer with 2 British Champs jerseys and PB's at the junior World Championships and Euro Championships she has been selected to the sprint squad at senior academy. The Jets will miss her coaching skills at Linwood and Miller Street mind. Huge congratulations to all in team Steele. https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/gbcyclingteam/article/20181004-gb-cyclingteam-news-British-Cycling-confirms-the-senior-academy-and-senior-squad-riders-for-2018-2019-0

Will bring easy-up and be hauder upper -
Hi Billy, As it happens most of the topics in this bit of the forum are about what the Jets are up to, and no one has minded before. After all, the heading says this is for committee members to outline what they are doing. I haven't posted here for a while right enough - guilty of using Facebook more - but thought it would be a good idea to let senior club members know more about the Jets. Plenty good things happening with our youth section.

Lots of you will already have seen your smiling coupons on the Amaretto fb page. If not, please get over there and give it a like
-
Will be there. Have advertised to Jets via our club email, asking them to let me know if they want to come. Expect to see a few along.
-
Thanks for sitting on the CTT committee on behalf of the club Billy. Anyone fancy taking up this role in Billy's place?
-
Will be there for the Davie and Chung mystery tour.

Haven't got as hi tech as HR and power yet so can't comment on those. Never used a Garmin to compare, but wahoo very good. Can customise screen between 6 lines of info all the way to 1 line of VERY BIG PRINT so ideal for the more mature cyclist. Battery life good, phone app good.

Shhh. People looking at the photos won't know.

Looks good and looking forward to seeing you all on the Amaretto page. Sorry wasn't able to join, was helping at Kenny's sprintfest at SCHV. Danny better looking than me anyway.
