like you kenny i don't see the need for red plates.i think they are a waste of energy,the way the shoe plate whackles about used to drive me nuts.grit gets in between and voila....creak-creak-creak. i'm surprised it's still as bad paul what with the new-ish white teflon at the contact points.it's supposed to make them more durable and alliviate the creaking. is it only one pedal?if so,maybe it's a faulty cleat.or maybe it isn't a look plate after all as there are some copies...i.e VP's cleat is very similar but only works with their pedals. back to black for you methinks. and well done on sunday!my crampons broke just before the nick. good luck wi your race...i'm off to meigle for another kicking

In my limited experience Brian it has to be Assos....expensive but it's the bogs dollocks as far as I'm concerned. Club kit is Pro Vision.....a couple of items (bib shorts & gilet especially)started fairly quickly to become thread bare. We had a welcome visitor in the shoppe today.......Harry Lambie. Harry was flashing his scars today and I remarked how quickly they're healing a sign of his fitness methinks. Harry reckons he'll "glide" up the hills now as he's a wee bit lighter post op. His tumour has been removed and there are no signs of secondaries . As part of his treatment he's back in hospital next week to start a course of chemo.
