2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted July 22, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 22, 2012 I feel really guilty as I have a start, Then again it will probably be easier than today's 85 miles at >20mph including slow spells for puncture and regroups etc Think I'll keep entering races to avoid the Sunday runs
2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted July 28, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 28, 2012 Well everything was going swimmingly until the climb up to the finish line where I slid down the remaining bunch to finish near the back. Felt ok with good position which I had fought for at the left hand turn and the first steep bit, but then all these unsportingly fast young chaps found another 2 gears and ripped up the second part. Thoroughly enjoyable race despite some heavy showers. I found it harder holding the wheels up the a77 than on the 2 climbs each lap due to the cross tail wind and very fast moving echelon. Positive being the vets national is uphill finish so good warmer for this!

Guest EPCC
I. Would hate to think how fast and sore that would be to make you go backwards Good effort
Committee Alan McLean Posted July 29, 2012 Committee Report Share Posted July 29, 2012 Paul Good work. A few repeats of johnshill will get your sprint legs up to speed.
