Guest
Yep-that's the road I mean-might be best to take old greenock road then a left to kilmacolm.
Kenny Christie
Having covered some of the aforementioned roads recently and given that summer bikes/wheels are in use I think will give the hilly runs a miss. The roads are just too bad. Id be keen to join in on the Renfrew bunch route we did last year of a Thursday night tho' will keep an eye on them. Committee Alan McLean Posted March 29, 2012 Committee Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 Lovely first mid-week ride of the season. Kenny, don't be put off by recent posts. Some ruts and gravel on Gallahill Road but all rideable. We agreed that the cooler weather, wind and bumpiness added an excellent pre-Ronde vibe to the evening. 2023 Subscriptions charlie p Posted March 29, 2012 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 myself Paul mcd Paul c Alan McLean ian couttie Davie t billy mac the hincapie and Ian mcg got the Thursday night gang off to a cracking start. beautiful night good pace and no mechanicals. Long may that continue. we all completed the 4 hills taking us to kilmacolm then we split. McLean was home so decided to put on his slippers. The racers wanted to save themselves for Saturday and Ian and Paul were heading off home. that left myself billy mac Ian mcg and hincapie to do the last hill of the night glen rd then beaten by darkness Ian headed back to bishopton and we headed back towards houston.not quite the whole route but a good start. fear not Kenny the west ferry chain gang is next week just to mix things up. see separate post
2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted March 29, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 29, 2012 Very ronde feel tonight with short sharp hills, nippy wind, and roads that were probably worse than cobbles at times! At least cobbles are predictable Excellent evening indeed and really the roads are ok if you proceed sensibly
Guest
Good fun tonight despite roads being more gravel than road at some points. Looking forward to next week. El Hinco.
