KennyS
A mix of Wheelers and Jets took the trip through to West Lothian for the Clarion's Kingscavil Hill Climb Representing the Wheelers were Iain Cowden, Kenny Christie and Ramsay Muirhead with Alan McLean Chief Cheerleader Still waiting on the final results being published but looks like Ramsay placed in the top 5 Couldn't get a pic of Kenny C as he sneaked by in an all black outfit and took us all by surprise (keeping his kit clean for Plean ) Katie McLean and the three junior Steeles (Alana, Lusia and Lewis) represented the Jets with Katie taking second place in the Youth B Girls category a couple of seconds ahead of Alana in third. Lusia posted a faster time than the two older girls but could only secure 4th in the competitive U12 Girls Roared on by large crowds on the 'small' hill, Lewis took the U8 title and would surely have went a good 10secs faster if he didn't have to avoid the over-enthusiastic tifosi on the steep climb Katie's second place also helped secure her third place overall in the hugely successful 2011 Skinny Tyres Series (a mix of Crit and Track events throughout Scotland) Loads of pics on the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/keijoteras ... 796147703/

Iain Cowden
Very well done to Katie, Alana, Lusia and Lewis - some fantastic results on the day and over the series! Great effort too from Ramsay at the end of a long hard season - best of luck for the nationals next up. Thanks to all for the welcome support on the hill - some of us needed it! Really well run event with a nice feel to it. Iain
2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted October 18, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 Kenny, Some good photos in there, although some shockers as well (really must work on my poker face!). Well done again to all the Jets. Cheers, R
