Meet up at the south of Erskine Bridge at 0930 for a quick run through Dumbarton and Helensburgh Sinclair Street and returning through the Vale. Post up if coming, the weather is supposed to be dry.
Warm company all of the way but cold feet to finish in the 0900h bunch going at a nice pace. Reliability fail with a puncture on the Clune that would have been worse if Darryl had not come back with his pump as I did not have mine. Ever the gentleman as these are the small gestures that make the club great.
I will need the shoes as well as the bike. Who do I pay the money to? I can do (actually my wife) a bank transfer or I can bring cash to the clubrooms either on the Saturday or Sunday.
I often get out on a Tuesday, but I other stuff I need to do today. A bit annoying as I have been lacking any serious distance lately. I will post up next week.
Lots of work there in getting the calendar together. I look forward to each event I can attend and seeing some new faces (and bikes!) alongside the regulars.
The weather made for a lovely day out, my legs are knackered so I must have needed it. Recovery espresso and fistfulls of chocolate before I can start shouting at the kids again.
The weather is still forecasted to be wild, I have been forced to use the car to commute! So I will hold out at the moment, there may be a brief window to have a quick blast somewhere.
I very much like this proposal, the important thing is to do it next season and not quibble about the details excessively. I do hope that the PB bonus will be enough to encourage people who are getting into TTs and those who are not the outright fastest.
